Following hot – and we mean HOT – on the heels of the the New York Firefighters, Ireland’s farmers have manned up, taken off their tops, and posed for the fourth annual Irish Farmer Calendar 2013, which supports the Irish charity Bóthar.
Christened “agri porn” by Irish television host Ryan Tubridy, the calendar has received orders from the US, Australia, UK, Germany, Poland,France, Hong Kong, and South Africa, with an international audience hungry to see the charms of Ireland’s farmers.
We can reveal the 2013 calendar features hunks of agricultural charm from Wicklow, Tipperary, Galway, Roscommon, Kildare, Dublin, and Meath. Resplendent with their farmers’ tans, they appear in their full (or at least topless) glory along with a pig, a chicken, a dog, sheep, a feather duster, a tractor, knitting needles, bales of hay, a tandem bike, and a pumpkin, all shot on location on Causey Farm outside Kells, Co. Meath.
Calendar creator Ciara Ryan says that interest in the calendar this year is far exceeding previous years and the feedback has been tremendous. A big surprise was with the first order for calendars coming from Ohio, USA.
Photographer Ian Shipley has been taken aback with the response. Ian says, "The end result makes up for getting soaked through for two days, who would have thought that you could get so wet in June! All the lads were brilliant and managed to keep smiling despite being wind blown, wet, cold and wrestling with pigs in the mud. Thankfully we managed to squeeze another day in when the sun popped out for half a day."
The Irish organized calendar continues to give a portion of its profits to Bóthar. This Irish charity has been sending livestock to the developing world since 1991.

Don't girls farm in Ireland. I think they should demand a calendar of their own.

Shouldn't the title be forget PlayGIRL? I think that is the one with the guys in it. Playboy has girls in it if my memory serves me correctly.

The calendar sucks and is a joke - its supposed to be i know but there are lots of very cute, healthy, hot bodied irishmen out there working on farms with decent tans - could they not have got some of them and actually made more money - these guys are a turn off!
