Hey,Loyal Citizen-Happyhippo says "Foreign investment is always welcome" does that include those "terrible "American Corporations according to your rants!
Its the way to go,while foreign direct investment (FDI)is always welcome,it has to be in tandem with local provided enterprises that give employment and is established in the communities that people reside in,even become International themselves when demand for their products rises, great to see the hi-tech rising to the challenge.
I think Ireland's history has made it a bit cockey and creative. It has the example to Irish American history to show the Irish can do anything they set their minds to. So my opinion and hope is that this program will be a success. The world is growing more competitive so, if you start something new and it works, the rest of the world will be playing catch-up. And this process feeds on itself. Some success breeds more success as the world takes note and talented people and money flows in.
