First Lady Michelle Obama’s Irish slave owner roots are revealed

I know I'm late to posting since I just saw this story for the first time...and today couldn't be a better time.. Today happens to be the anniversary of the first slaves brought to America...you know, the 60000 IRISH brought to the Bahamas in 1656 by Cromwell and the 500000 IRISH in Virginia and surrounding areas also by Cromwell. This pales in comparison to Africans since 560000 represents about 1/4 of the complete Irish population at the time. Compare that to the 6000000 total African slaves brought to the US, 12 million African slaves total and the US got 6.45% of that. I'm ashamed of Irish Central for not remembering it's own history

Jeez Briano, I know lots of people who drank and/or did drugs in school and most of them turned out just fine. I doubt that the president did a lot of that kind of partying. I haven't read his book yet. Have you read it or did someone else tell you that that's what it said. Did you ever drink, do drugs or do anything that you wish you hadn't done when you were young? People do grow up and see the error of their ways, you know.

I think you are correct a rich father can get a son into an ivy league school, how does a non rich man's son get into an ivy league school, especially when he is non motivated, drinking and doing drugs( again as stated in his book) I don't know. It logically doesn't make sense. Please since I am slow and dim witted, could you piece together Obama's accomplishments that allowed him to ascend through the private high school, occidental college, columbia, and harvard, there must be some GPA's, thesis papers, honor projects, etc.,thanks. cheers.

It’s true many of America’s politicians dabbled with drugs in their youth however; to answer the question about past presidents getting into Ivy League schools (Yale) and (Harvard Business) with a history of drugs or alcohol abuse (and arrests for GWB by age 20) its helps to be the “fortunate son” of a wealthy man time and time again. I’ll take a self made man over wealth and privilege…history shows what that got us.

You know the obama's are the smartest by their schools records---(punahao high school?,occidental university? to columbia? to harvard?) GPA's, thesis papers, articles written when he was on the harvard law review? I'd like to be swayed so if you could pass along some of that information I could be enlightened.
