“I have done my own research on this and I see these items being sold on Amazon. If you do a search of Irish and drinking you’ll get over 3,000 individual items,” he said The fact that Mr Mahoney can so readily quote statistics on Irish Drinking Items on Amazon say more about Mr. Mahoney than the issue. I am sure his grandparents are proud of him
Money talks: Boycott Spencer's.
Spencer sells a lot of "T" shirts and other items that are very offensive -- many of which would make a barkeep blush !! I was in one and they have the most filthy greeting cards. The store seemed to attract the very young people. Very disgusting !!
Nelsonbarry is 100% correct ,,, DO NOT SHOP AT THESE PLACES EVER.
where is my comment
@carriagehorse: agree fully with you. Remember St Patrick is buried in a Church of Ireland Cemetery ( Anglican ) in Downpatrick, Co Down. Northern Ireland. Have a happy St Patrick's day
I agree with Basler up to a point. I do agree that the merchandise is demeaning to people of Irish heritage-- and the sexually explicit stuff is just plain insulting to any woman. But as to St. Patrick's Day being a "Catholic" holiday-- if by that she means only ROMAN Catholic, I disagree. I'm Episcopalian, and St. Patrick's Day is a Feast Day in our Church and in the Anglican Communion, the Eastern Orthodox Church and the Lutheran Church as well. St. Patrick is remembered as a Christian missionary to the pagan Irish.
why doesn't everyone offended like I am, just boycott the store in the future. Not just St Pats day, but all year, like I do. You can find the things you need in a store that doesn't sell this crap.
