Correct me if I am wrong -- FM Noonan claimed the next Taoiseach job, based on prior possession, and prior fiduciary responsibility.

True, but get on with solving the problem. Disown Cowan's pledge to pay the debts of Ireland's privately owned banks to EU banks, making the sovereign debt - which Ireland is honor bound to pay - manageable.
