Few Irish expected to benefit from Obama halt to deportations

The only people that benefit from Obama's purchase of 800,000 votes are the law breakers. This is a joke and it will not stand up in Court.

In addition, there is more than one type of Muslim. Sunnis and Shiites are quite different and actually hate each other. In Syria, one group is overthrowing the other to form a caliphate that will put us right back in the Middle Ages as the Eruopean economic system prepares to fail with both Islam and the Russian bear waiting to pounce.

The first paragraph of this article is pretty much spot on: this was a move by Obama to boost his re-election chances -- which it is not doing, of course, since the vast majority of the USA opposes amnesty for illegal invaders in any form, whatsoever. As to why many Irish illegals don't feel they'll benefit by this, well it's easy to see why. They're the wrong race. This is meant to boost numbers of non-white voters -- hispanic, in particular -- and nothing else. Obama does not like white illegals any more than he likes whites, period (which isn't much; just read his book); he's interested in his own re-election -- which isn't doing so well, quite frankly. He's not helped himself here, either. He can't be defeated if things get better, but things can't get better unless he's defeated. He's caught in his own paradox.

It will take months or years for the mechanism for this to be put in place. US Immigration and Naturalization will have to establish a new bureau, set up policy guidelines, establish forms, decide what proofs are required and how all the paperwork should be obtained and submitted. This is totally useless. It subverts the will of the people (Congress) and is no help whatsoever to those effected. It's an election year ploy, and a desperate one at that.

If this is such a horrible thing, why did John McCain introduce it not too long ago and why is Marco Rubio working on his own GOP version of the Dream Act. Why did Mitt Romney defer to Rubio in his comments on this executive order. Republicans need to get their talking points straight.

This new policy is an open invitation to millions more with young children to enter the U.S illegally, knowing that a few years from now these foreign children will be given most of the benefits that are now available to law-abiding citizens. The 25% of young Americn citizens who are currently unemployed will now have to compete with 800,000 in their age group who are being handsomely rewarded for remaininh here in violation of our laws.

This does NOT stop deportations for anyone. For the very specific target group, they have to PROVE their circumstances to Customs and Immigration, if their circumstances are acceptable they are given TWO YEARS stay in the US. It would be an excellent opportunity for Immigration and Naturalization to identify that age range of illegals and their parents and swoop on them otherwise. Don't be fooled by this lip service to the Hispanic community. This is not helpful to anyone. It only encourages more illegals which hurts the US. Deport all illegals, they broke US law.
