Many years ago when i lived in the UK horse meat was sold and eaten with no ill efects, the French and Italians have had horse meat on the menu for many years and still have, although it could be argued the French would eat just about anything, i always did wonder why i liked jumping over ditches.

if i was this company i would be looking at who stands to profit from leaping into the breech, with so much money at stake it would be comparitively easy to stick a few horses into the food chain, expose it causing public outrage and then become the supplier, far fetched?not with that amount of money at stake.
