Escaped bull runs riot in Irish store
Shoppers flee as bull hoofs round store in Co Mayo
Shoppers in County Mayo had to flee for their lives as an escaped bull ran riot in a convenience store.
The bull, which had escaped from a nearby cattle market, hoofed into the store and ran round the aisles, sending produce tumbling to the floor.
Shoppers and store-workers tried to make a makeshift barrier from shopping carts but the young bull pounded through the carts.
The entire escapade was caught on the store's CCTV footage.
The owner of the Cummins' SuperValu store in Ballinrobe, Co Mayo, said he couldn't believe his eyes.
John Cummins said: "He got out of the mart about a kilometre away and galloped right up the town - past Tesco - turned left, then right and came straight into the front door."
The bull, who also chased a farmer down the aisle, headed back out the automatic doors after a good run round the store.
Luckily, nobody was hurt in the incident.
