"Sinn Fein are pressing for the vote to be called but Kenny has told Gerry Adams in the Irish parliament that now is not the time for such a poll." OK I give what is a "Irish parliament"?

It is wrong for any island to be divided or to be governed in part from outside. Unified Countries shape themselves and their people define their futures together for a better global community. The USA, Canada and Germany are perfect examples. The people on the island of Ireland in all 32 counties will achieve more together in the future in a Unified Ireland. Everyday Ireland remains divided is a day wasted.

I think Gerry Adams's call for a border poll at this time is way off the mark. We need to get our economies in order before the Republic would be attractive to the North and vice versa. We have poverty-stricken people here, struggling to make ends meet, we have a brain drain due to the lack of jobs, and fixing these issues should be our priority now.

And just when would a Blue Shirt think the timing of a border poll was right?
