Mary, I think you have a wonderful idea! Don't lose your connection to the land, it is surely too precious. Many children don't know what the country life is. The owner of The Round Barn did something simaliar with their place with success. They added a place for garden weddings,and the grotto you describe would make a lovely place for a garden wedding!
