Donald Trump's three eldest children, Eric, Donald Jr and Ivanka, have reportedly told their father to cool it with the Obama bashing.
“The three of them met and went to see their dad in his Fifth Ave. office. They showed a lot of respect, but told him he’s worked too long and too hard to build up the reputation he has. They understand completely he’s always been outspoken and that he likes attention, but this is too much,” an insider told the NY Daily News.
A representative for Trump has denied such a meeting took place.
Trump, who has tweeted that Obama's reelection was a "disgusting injustice," has launched an all out one-man war against the President that began when he demanded Obama to release his birth certificate. He has also said he would donate $5 million to a charity of Obama's choice if the president would release his college records and passport application.

According to the source, Trump's "kids said they know it’s not helping."
“They told him you can’t throw this all away on this nonsense.”
As the future of Trump’s empire, his kids are also worried for themselves.
“They want their dad to get respect and then the whole family does well,” the source says.
Trump’s rep called the story “completely untrue,” saying that Eric, Donald Jr. and Ivanka respect their father's use of “free speech."
“They would never ever do that. It never happened. It’s simply untrue.”

Give the kids a break; it must be hard having a father who's the laughing stock of the internet--and that's just his hair!

Donald Trump obtains his best ideas from films, for instance whilst he was watching the film 'The Godfather', he heard Michael Corleone tell Tom the Consiglieri:" There are many things my father taught me here in this room Tom. He taught me: keep your friends close, but your enemies closer". Because of hearing this film dialogue advice every time Trump goes out he's got 25 close friends with him..

Lau019, Who is this generation? I don't know anyone one named "this generation" Who did your survey Glen Beck ? Or was it the voices in your head? How about a comment on Trump's full page ad requesting the death penalty so that five young men wrongfully convicted of rape could be put to death. After many years locked up they were finally exonerated are are still awaiting compensation for their false arrest. Maybe Trump should also be required to pay compensation. Running around like a wild donkey braying about birth certificates should be a cause for real concern to his family

New York's own village idiot, a buffoon who has become an international laughing stock. As one TV commentator said, "Definitive proof that hair spray does indeed cause brain damage." Trump's bizarre, over-the-top attacks on Obama have left him without any credibility, save for the lunatic fringe in the GOP - in reverse, POG as in Party of God. Sorry God, you deserve better than this lot.

If the story is true, it is probably because Trump's businesses are receiving negative comments. I can't imagine anyone other than Republicans, criminals or other unsavory people doing business with any of the Trump's holdings. His circle of acquaintances must be shrinking. I say acquaintances because I doubt he has any friends other than Palin, Romney, Akin, Cardinal Dolan, Akin, Mourdock & Ryan. I also imagine anyone related to Donald Trump and doesn't have the Trump name is denying any relationship to the loudmouthed, egotistical, anal orifice. Hopefully many tax loopholes and advantages passed by the Republicans will be eliminated and the sneaky. slimy, slithering snakes will start paying their fair share. Just saying !!!

Poor old Donald truped by his own kids. They probably face a barrage of anti Donald jokes on a daily basis.

Whether the meeting took place or not, it sounds like something responsible caring children would do and say - certainly better than "Dad, we think it's time to put you in a home!" ...which a lot of the rest of us have been thinking about Mr. Trump since he went off the deep end with his paranoid craziness over the last election. Fortunately, a majority of the voters proved themselves more rational.

Even if the article is truthful in what it says happened, for which the author offers no journalistic evidence, the title smacks of "Yellow Journalism". The story never discusses any sort of "attack" by Trump's children but rather a discussion between adults. Wow. Adult childrren mildly disagreeing with their father. NOW! THAT is news.

I wold rather believe that his kids have more sense since he seems to be off the beam in many ways.
TisEyerish | Nov 25, 2012, 12:24 PM EST
Trump is just another idiot with a lot of money and a bad comb-over. He's too stupid to realize how bad he looks and how most of the world is laughing at him. His current problem is that he is now worried that all his money might be taxed, as happens to us less fortunate Americans, rather than retaining the tax shelters that are in place for the wealthy.
chicksooze | Nov 25, 2012, 11:05 AM EST
Maybe now he'll shut his big mouth. I used to like the Donald, but now i have lost so much respect for him, I can't stand the sight of him. His kids realized that he was stepping over the crazy line, someone had to speak up. Good for them.
chicksooze | Nov 25, 2012, 11:05 AM EST
Very poor article. No verification on teh reporter's part that any such meeting took place. A specifically identified person representing Trump denied it took place. Without the most basic verification from at least one of the three kids then this story is just thrash journalism. Perhaps IC is becoming just a tabloid..... ?? JimmieM your comment is asinine and a crass generalization - better to put brain in gear first. CAvanAncestor - you got it right! ...

How is the newer Mrs. putting up with this cracker?

Again, relevance to Irish / Irish-American issues? Yellow journalism at its best or perhaps worst. All the participants deny it happened but the headlinemore that suggests it did. Who taught you Journalism and fact finding, Oliver Stone? Drop the charade. Rename this site Liberal Irish Fictional News since truth dones't need to be present.
