Donald Trump thinks he has everyone else's number, so he may be surprised to discover that someone finally has his.
According to the Huffington Post, NBC chief Bob Greenblatt is reportedly keeping a close eye on the Apprentice host.
Trump notoriously stalked President Obama during the 2012 election, indulging in wild speculation about his birth certificate and his political plans. Trump's increasingly paranoid bluster got so overblown that eventually Barbara Walters and even his own children implored him to stop.

Now Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Greenblatt took a second look at the network's most controversial star during the 2013 winter Television Critics Association press tour on Sunday.
'He has his political belief system but I really don’t think what he’s doing in his personal life is going to corrupt what he’s doing on the show,' Greenblatt said, attempting to sound optimistic.
He continued, 'That said, if he becomes somehow hurtful or says or does things that cross a line, we would figure out what to do about that.'
Greenblatt also thinks the network did the nation a service by convincing Trump to not run for president last year. 'Wasn't that good enough?' he joked.
NBC has become increasingly sensitive about its close relationship with Trump. In 2011, Irish American pundit Lawrence O'Donnell lambasted the network for keeping Trump on-air at all.
News anchor Brian Williams also dismissed Trump, saying he 'has driven well past the last exit to relevance and peered into something closer to irresponsible here,' during the election season.

Trump still phones in his political views during regular Fox News interviews. But according to Politico at the moment his targets are fellow Republicans, who he suggests have been played by Democrats on the recent fiscal cliff deal.
'Well, I’m a Republican and I will tell you that I’m so disappointed in what the Republicans are doing. I’m so disappointed in their negotiating ability and what happened recently. They could’ve wrapped up a big, beautiful package that would’ve been great for the country, but they didn’t choose to do it. Instead they’re going step-by-step and losing every step of the way. The Republicans are being eaten alive, step by step.'
Trump also slammed the party's negotiating skills.
'They had all the cards, I don’t know what’s happening. I don’t know who these negotiators are. They’re the worst I’ve ever seen,' Trump said.

PhlutiePhan 50 years down the road, when facts are written in the history books (instead of Hannity style spin) Obama will go down as one of America's most competent presidents.

It's about time somebody took this goof ball off the air, only republican morons watch him anyway and we all know that they will be extinct soon. He can go bye bye with the rest of them. We'll send Stephen Harper our goof ball down to join you.

Trump is a disgrace to decent Humanity not to mention is mother's Scots people. He's declared bankruptcy FOUR times and stuck the public (higher interest rates) and banking industry with the tab. "A legend in his own mind" (and NOBODY'S ELSE's)...

I do not understand the likes of phlutie and co. Is it ignorance or irrationality that drives their political thinking. Thye seem to live in a world of crazy philosophies, where Gun,God, and a lousy minimum wage takes priority over a health system for all,a good education system and other government policies which are designed to protect the middle classes. they prefer to spread the mantras of the right wing power groups who wish to destroy the middle class. Maybe if phlutie would take a trip to Australia and see how the middle classes are protected!! He may return to the U.S. and fight for justice and what use to be the American way.

PhlutiePhan, time to wake up from your slumber, lad. Our president is not a Kenyan. He is an an American, born in Hawaii. This has been proven compellingly to all but the ignorant and the brain-dead stupid. As for ther distribution of wealth, this is what a progressive tax system is all about and for reasons so blindingly obvious that even you, in time, migh comprehend. This system of taxation, with variations, is employed by all democratic societies in the world. In America before this there was no middle class, only a very wealthy few at the top and a vast population of working, struggling poor. This was the era of the company town, mining or railroads, where you worked six day a week and made barely enough to stay alive. It was these conditions that led to labor unions Yes, some unions, especially in the public sector, have gone too far - and their power is now being checked - but understand this, it was the labor movement in America that gave us our middle class, to which you, no doubt, claim to belong.

I want to see his birth certificate. I'm not convinced he's a human being.

Trump is a disgrace to the human race. What a piece of work. He passed up an opportunity to simply cut his hair and Mark Cuban would donate a million dollars to a charity of Trumps choice and he didn't do it. His biased and asinine comments have shown him to be in the same boat as Akin, Romney, Mourdock, Father Benedict Groeschel, Ann Coulter etc. He acts like the Fuhrer in the 1930's. Trump speaks of negotiating, but his actions and words are those of a dictator. Although we have the first amendment, most of the world would be happier if Trump the Chump wouldn't exercise it in such an absurd manner.

mayoman, as a fellow Mayo man I a agree with you. The man is a buffoon who has lost credibility with all but the looney right - and has now become an embarrassment, if not an outright liability, to NBC. His days are numbered.
PhlutiePhan | Jan 08, 2013, 11:36 AM EST
@Frosty38: How about doing the same with the Kenyan. Since Trump is a symbol of free enterprise, as weird as he is, why should someone who is only out for redistribution of wealth want him in the media to embarrass him. There are definite parallels to the national socialism of the 40s.
