AengusOg might enjoy reading "The Art of War" by Sun-Tzu, in which he observed that "All warfare is based on deception."

Gerry's fame goes unblemished in spite of the after the fact tarring. A George Washington type chap whose courage
boggles minds - especially those of the puny variety.

It wouldnt matter to me who helped abroad he will still be a hero to me in Ireland, a man who had the courage and intelligence to stand up to an empire and then the man who had the courage to put his neck on the line with his own community join a peace process that involved comprimise. If only some of the TDs in Ireland had the same intelligence and tact that he has

So does this mean that Gerry Adams will be seen in a more positive light now because the anti apartheid movement is held in such high regard

@Johhnyb - Adams has never denied that he had 'links' to the IRA. What he has firmly stated is that he was "never a member of the IRA". Just as any community/political leader may have 'links' to the Gardai or the Army, does not mean they are "members" of either.

One man's integrity is another's duplicity: contradictory doubleness of thought, speech, or action; especially : the belying of one's true intentions by deceptive words or action. This the MO of the Communist Party throughout the world. It may be expediency or necessity, but it is not integrity.

Puzzled.... I thought from your recent posts re Boston College archives that Gerry had no links to the IRA. Please clarify.
