A Dail Deputy who helped bring the racist comments made by Naas Lord Mayor Darren Scully to light has been bombarded by a "barrage of abuse."
Labor Party member Aodhan O’Riordain reported Scully to police after he had claimed he would no longer represent "black African people."
Scully was forced to resign from his position as Mayor and was suspended from his job in the wake of the public furore over his remarks.
O’Riordain has filed a personal complaint against Scully with police in Dublin despite a "torrent of abuse" aimed at him personally and his staff.

“It has been a very bad time for me and my staff. People have called in and racially abused them. They have received abusive phone calls and letters and it’s very much upset them,” O’Riordain told the Evening Herald newspaper.
“This was a statement signed by me and not them. They should not have been affected by this.”
Scully’s Fine Gael party have threatened to expel the councillor when results of an internal investigation into his racist remarks are made public this week.
The controversial politician, married with a young family, is also to learn this week whether or not he will be re-instated by his employers.

News Flash, postcolonia: the Irish public don't have a sense of superiority; they have a sense of being besieged in their own country by people who don't share their culture and, in some cases, their values.... and, by the way, people who are either competing for scarce Irish jobs or living for free in Ireland at the expense of the mostly Irish taxpayer. This isn't about racism; it's about economics, and it's about an embattled majority that is fast becoming a cultural minority in its own country.

"the powerful go right ahead and rip you all off." Who do you think instituted Mass Immigration into Ireland, you dope postcolonia? It was the rich and powerful. No poor Irish person ever voted for Mass Immigration. What a clown. You must really love Fianna Fail and the Irish bosses for their policy of Mass Immigration, so don't posture as a friend of the Irish working class.

Praise to the staff and TD who stand up to uphold rights and to protect vulnerable groups who are being targeted and blamed for failed government policy and greedy elites. They have my respect and support for having the courage to tolerate the same kind of abuse that immigrants face on a daily basis. By defending immigrants, they are also defending the human rights of all vulnerable groups in Ireland. Resorting to race and hatred shows how easily the Irish public are being manipulated into a sense of superiority and righteousness...while the powerful go right ahead and rip you all off.

The best punishment for this meddling fool O’Riordain is not to reelect him next time. Why doesn't he run for the Nigerian parliament?
