Deputy Clare Daly demands action after tests prove she is not guilty of drink driving

There's much about Clare Daly TD to like and respect. She champions many issues that are in the public interest. But Clare has a blind spot on this one. She's not acting in the public interest when she disagrees that she didn't need to comply with Garda requests to accept the handcuffs that help keep sick people and Garda safe. She's not acting in the public interest by claiming she's owed privacy in this matter. She is not. She serves at the pleasure of the electorate and were the police not to reveal her conduct they could be viewed as engaging in a bias and/or cover-up of a public figure. Clare owes the Garda and her public an apology for getting behind the wheel of a care after she drank whiskey.

Bradshaw! You're missing the point. She admitted consuming a hot whiskey, an Irish cure for a bad cold/flu symptoms. Purely medicinal! She was subsequently proven to be under the limit of blood/alcohol level. She and other political colleagues received information that certain Gárdaí were preferentially dropping drink driving charges for others, and called a press conference. Her arrest for such was coincidentally shortly thereafter. Looks like the lefties have become involved in intra-Gárda political adversarilism?

This Woman was arrested because she was drinking whiskey which she appears to have admitted to. She is a TD and she stands as a leader to the People in Ireland. What role model-ship. Nobody is ever convicted until a trial has occurred. No trial occurred here. Nobody said she was guilty. She was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving. Once she was arrested that is public information. She was arrested by public officials and the information was released by public officials which is absolutely correct and the way it should happen. I do not believe that she should have been handcuffed but this is the Americanization of Ireland (moving to a Police state). That is another argument in itself. In regards to her playing the Victim. How disgusting. Give me a break. You drove after drinking alcohol, whiskey at that. Guilty. You said that they did this to you because you are an independent TD. How do you know that? Where is the proof? Take responsibility for your actions Woman. Stand up and take what is coming to you. And now you are going to try and have an investigation (use up more taxpayers money) instead of getting help for your inability to be a moral and ethical person and stop drinking while drinking. It's disappointing to learn that the socialist Clare Daly objects so much to the transparency that's so necessary for fairness and justice in any society. I plan to visit her website to look for any position Clare Daly has regarding the Magdalene Laundries which is where Daly's should apply her attention and energy.
