@michaelidaho, she was never arrested for a serious violent crime. Her past indiscretions were misdemeanors, there's a difference, and the ICE will not get involved in misdemeanors. So that explains why she was never deported.

It is truly very sad that the United States is so broken it cannot even deport illegal immigrants when they have been arrested for serious violent crimes. My deepest sympathy for this family that lost a child because of truly disturbed woman and a totally broken immigration system.
