There is confusion over whether a parish priest in Tyrone has been cleared after showing gay porn to a room full of First Communicant parents.
The Irish Catholic Church called an inquiry into the County Tyrone priest, Father Martin McVeigh, who displayed indecent images during a primary school presentation in March “inconclusive."
Originally, they called the priest cleared but later amended that after parents protested.
The Archdiocese of Armagh sent representatives to meet with parents from the town of Pomeroy in Co. Tyrone to talk about the incident. Another meeting is planned to further investigate the issue. The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) have confirmed that no crime was committed during the presentation.
Fr Martin McVeigh is currently on a leave of absence after requesting the break of his own volition.
While making a First Communion presentation at St Mary's Primary School on March 26, Fr. McVeigh put a memory stick into his laptop that displayed 16 gay pornographic images, according to the Belfast Telegraph.
Some 30 parents were present, as was one child. Fr. McVeigh claims he has no idea how the images came to be on the portable drive and parents say he quickly took it out of the laptop after the incident occurred, according to the BBC.

This story has moved on somewhat. It has emerged today that the good Father took it upon himself to destroy the memory stick that the images were stored on and before the official church investigation began. Add to that the fact that the laptop computer in question was the only one of six machines which was stolen approximately a fortnight after the incident. I dont know what makes me more angry here; the lameness of the excuse offered for destroying evidence crucial to an inquiry or the fact that I would be expected to believe it. Cardinal Brady was about to weigh in and support "his man" to the hilt, before he backed off. Too bad that the Cardinal has yet to realise that his self-proclaimed role of "wounded healer" is going to fruitless when he insists on shooting himself in the foot time after time. His Eminence is now viewed by most catholics in the Diocese as a "busted flush" who is presiding over the slow disintegration of the fabric of catholic life within his own diocese and well beyond its boundaries also!!

Fellow posters! I've tried to post twice on this story, both times unsuccessfully. Beware of Irish Govt./UK/EU/USA word association censorship softwear in operation. So much for freedom of the press. Looks like Bog Brother is spreading his dark shadow over websites such as this.

At he expesne of children.........................I'm beginning to wonder if the vatican should be renamed "Frankensteins castle"?

The Church has almost been destroyed by gays in the pulpits, Said a poster. ---------------------------------------------------------- Actually its the str8 priests who caused most problems. they couldnt get any sex and couldnt afford prostitutes ............................................. the gay priests simply had sex with each other, age appropriate and consensual...................... And the real damage came from the hierarchy who hid these vile crimes, often moving the vile priests to new locations where they continued their crimes................ The old "it was the gay priests long ago was proved to be BS"

Who is the R.C. Church supposed to deal with avowed homosexual priests?

Intercessor-I'm just a dumbass AmeriIrish so please explain how each priest is worth hundreds of thousands!

To NYCFiredog: I agree with your assessment, but there is one realistic problem: Each priest is worth hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars, to their Archdiocese, depending upon the size of their Church, and that is why every bishop wants to keep every priest in the ministry, as long as possible; therefore, whenever a misdemeanor comes up, that isn't "out and out rape," bishops will have a tendency to overlook them and to call every investigation, "Inconclusive!" It's simply a convenient, self-serving, "Cop-out" word!

Inconclusive ,but Father McVeigh will be showing his private movies in the rectory nightly from 7-11!

Let's look at other, "Inconclusive" messages that the Vatican has sent out to the faithful: It is INCONCLUSIVE that there is actually a world-wide, (possibly even interplanetary), Priest Pedophilia Scandal! It is INCONCLUSIVE that Irish Bishops sent their known, Pedophile Priests across the seas to the United States, Canada, and Australia in an effort, which might as well be called, "The Pedophile Priests without Borders Program!" It is an INCONCLUSIVE fact that many bishops, archbishops and cardinals acted woefully INEPT in the handling of Pedophile Priests under their care. It is also INCONCLUSIVE that many priests, bishops, archbishops and cardinals acted woefully and criminally INEPT in handling the needs of those abused, molested, raped and sodomized by Pedophile Priests. The list goes on and on. Does anyone wish to add to this list........
