We have a firm right in my town that sends out thousands of letters such as:The Murphy's are having a family Reunion in Dublin.... and they "offer" great rates to fly and go.Those great rates are steep and can be bettered by anyone trying. However the lure of a reunion is large. What do they get? A large meeting hall with a bedsheet banner proclaiming a Murphy Reunion,a large table filled with Harp and Guinness and that is it! And No,I didn't go.Several times I have met people going and coming back who informed me.Is it a scam ? Depends on your perspective,If it gets you to Ireland and you have a good time-What's the loss. I suspect it is like the certificate.I need no such certificate-I have green blood!
