I think they should keep the horses off the streets. If anyone has driven in NYC, they know how crazy the traffic and driving is. I don't know what the answer is here. I don't like to see scenes like this picture with the police. The horses seem to get the worst of it. Horses are the most beautiful animals. They should be treated very well for all the hard work they do.

Horses were never meant to work on concrete streets. In just a few years, their legs are sore from being forced to spend their lives on concrete. I have raised horses and seen a few of these drivers and how they treat their horses. I know that you would feel differently if you were the horse. Dogs would never be forced to walk on the hot street for hours.... Dogs have more rights than these horses. This horse was terrified and should not be forced to spend it's life next to cars driven by New York drivers! If a Pit Bull freaks out, they are not only band from the city, they are murdered!

The horse colapsed because of how the police treated him. not the driver
If dogs freak out and bit someone, are they banded from the city? Ifcars hit a person or get in an accident are thay banded from the city? how many car and padestrian accidents happen in New York City a day? Work horses love to work just like dogs love to run and fetch a stick.

It would have been balanced if you had mentioned the condition and health of the horse. Collapsing from exhaustion and from being darted, the horse was not in good shape! You should be looking to find a good home for the horse. I support PETA!
