Catholic priest claims in Christmas message that women bring violence upon themselves

Everyone knows what the Priest meant and it's only the hypocrites who already hate the church who are taking offense. And something is lost in the translation from the original Italian. You should be able to leave your door unlocked without being robbed, that's the way it once was but not today.

Priests who condemn women are of the same ilk as Muslims who bet women when raped or Jews who force their wives to shave off their hair and forbid them from praying at the wailing wall. Most religions are run by men and the fear the power of women. I recommend all women of all religions free themselves and become atheists.

stanJames - I know that it is HARD to keep ALL the CLOWNS from the last election straight! Akin was running for Senator Clair McCaskle's seat in Missouri and said that raped women have a way to shut down their bodies so that they do not become pregnant. I know, I know, it is hard to believe he said it but I watched him say it several times myself. The guy who made the aspirin comment was one of the big money contributors to the GOP superpacs but I can't remember his name. I'm 63 but when I was in my teens, they used to tell girls that if they put an aspirin between their knees, they could not get pregnant. The idea being that it was THEIR responsibility to keep THEIR knees together to prevent intercourse. That was the condescending way women used to be treated. I guess that in some places they still are. These guys are really all the SAD type of clown.

THE pRIEST REMINDS ME of congressman Akin who said if a woman was raped she should put an aspirin between her knees (to prevent pregnancy????????) . Fortunately that clown lost his job in the last election. IMHO boht of them - their subconciousness was telling us they raped somemone, the Priest almost certainly a child.

Now for my real post. Obviously this Priest/Man is tempted by the REAL world (which he willingly resigned) and is having trouble maintaining his vows. He should consider this, if there was no temptation, would there be any saintly reward in resisting it? I think this article dovetails nicely with the earlier one on IC about the IRISH priest who said that the little boys provoked the priests into raping them and that the priests were not to be blamed. These are the "LOG IN THEIR OWN EYE" moments that our Lord warned us about and that the MEN of the RCC church seem to be so oblivious. Maybe the church needs to add SALTPETER to their diets if they are not up to dealing with their hormones by themselves.

The comment of this priest is clearly unacceptable, but it seems that IC has traveled quiet a distance outside the normal "Irish-American" sphere of interest to discover it. I guess they have too much time on their hands and spend a lot of it trying to gather anti-Catholic material.

Do context and common sense mean anything these days? The Good father was obviously was referring to the cultural debasement and the more aggressive nature of women in relationships, thrown in with alluring attire and men in their primal state will react. Can a priest or Christian minister say nothing these days without a backlash by the left-wing moral relativists who despise any kind of recrimination, which by the way is the duty of religious.

Notice the ads zooming in on the "you know what" in pants backside zooming views or pant leg separation - fine for some ladies if not all the copycats leaving guys salivating like beagles with great expectation ending in slap bang order of protection due to testoserone madness.
