Casey Anthony revealed she wanted to adopt a child from Ireland "accent and all” if she was acquitted of murdering her daughter Caylee

The letters were written to jailhouse inmate Robyn Adams. Casey, of Irish heritage, stated that she was a good mother to Caylee and wanted to take care of more kids.

"I always wanted to adopt a baby or child from another country -- is it selfish to want one from Ireland? Accent and all?” Anthony wrote, reports Orlando NBC affiliate WESH.

She stated that she had a miscarriage in 2007 and that very few people knew about it.
Casey Anthony is very proud of her Irish American heritage, according to the Orlando television station WESH . A shamrock is her favorite symbol.

Reporting on a bag found during the search for Caylee, Casey’s daughter, the station stated that a plastic shamrock was found which investigators said was significant because it was Casey’s favorite symbol.

Tattooist Bobby Knight told Fox News that he gave Casey her first tattoo .

“I gave her her first one when she was eighteen. A shamrock on her lower back.”

A friend of Casey’s reported that “Casey Anthony had many shamrocks in her life...she has a shamrock tattoo and a shamrock sticker on her car.”

Previously released photos of Casey Anthony show the shamrock tattoo on her back and wearing a shamrock necklace.

so sad for that little girl.Casey's poor parents..say prayers for all involved.. a very sad day. My husband & I looked in to adopting from Ireland.. our friend has two uncle's who are priests over there, he says it just does not happen.. so sad for us.. I suppose you need to be a Hollywood someone to make it happen. We have family over there and they have told family and friends..soo. if one knows anyone who is healthy and making an adoption plan.. there or here.. please let us know.. thanks eileenanded922@yahoo.com

I don't think this article is researched very well. Casey is not of Irish heritage. Her father's side is Italian and her mother's side is Romanian. She has a bit of a thing about Ireland because she was born close to St Patrick's Day but not on the day so it's a bit illogical. Some people have speculated that Caylee's biological father was possibly Irish but there is no proof to this as no one seem to know who the father is. Casey and her family are a bit strange so this Irish thing is a bit of a mystery. As I said the family is not Irish. I think Casey has eluded to being Irish but then Casey is known for lying or make believe.

I think the comments left here are good and justified in anger...she walked, simple as that. she is guilty as the day is long I believe. Hell, if my little boy is missing for one minute playing outside I'm freaking out and I sure wouldn't wait a whole f***in month to report it to the police if something happened to him! No adoption agency in their right mind would allow a child near that crazy liar...she is going to face the public next week and her thought of starting fresh is a complete fantasy. she will have to deal with an angry, bitter society that is sick of people like her...i wouldn't be suprised if someone did a Boondock Saints on her. The main thing is that precious little girl Caylee should have had the chance to be a child and be happy, grow up and continue her life. Her own mother took that from her and got away with it on this earth. What a shame! I love all your comments people, it shows that you all have a good heart for it to affect you all this way. Babies don't have "accents" - they're babies they don't talk yet. She'd be adopting a "tot" and it's a leap but I'm thinking she might not meet the character requirements for an adoption - babies or tots.

If Casey is truly guilty of murder and was acquitted.Then there was a miscarriage of justice.It only proves that mistakes can be made and justice is not always served.It also goes to prove that the truly innocent can be found guilty of murder and unless new evidence comes to light an innocent person can be put to death in Florida.The power of life or death is much to heavy a burden to place on ordinary human beings.Talk is cheap until that burden is placed on your shoulders.The death penalty is to extreme as it leaves no room for error.There is always the chance of error.If you are a well adjusted person self doubt will scream very loud.This jury might have given her life imprisonment if it wasn't for the death penalty.Instead a likely child murderer now goes free.

This simple creature has proven she is incapable of caring for herself, much less a child, however she comes by one. She reminds me, in her mindset, of young girls, barely in their teens, that conceal a pregnancy and then dispose of the baby in a dumpster. As a human being she is base in intellect and personality, she should not be allowed near a child.
