Casey Anthony was a huge fan of her Irish American heritage, it has been reported. According to Orlando television station WESH the shamrock was her favorite symbol and she had one tattooed on her lower back.

Reporting on a bag found during the search for missing Caylee, Anthony’s deceased daughter, the station stated that a plastic shamrock was found which investigators said was significant because it was Casey’s favorite symbol.

Tattooist Danny Knight of Cast Iron Tattoos told Fox News that Casey got a shamrock tattoo when she was a teenager.

“I gave her, her first one when she was eighteen. It was a little shamrock on her lower back,” Knight said.

Bobby Williams of Cast Iron Tattoos, who testified during the murder trial, described the young woman as a “regular”, saying she was in the tattoo parlor at least three to four times a year.

While her 2-year-old daughter was offically missing the Floridian woman got "Bella Vita" tattooed on his upper back, meaning "beautiful life" in Italian.

A friend of Casey’s reported that “Casey Anthony had many shamrocks in her life that she has a shamrock tattoo and a shamrock sticker on her car.”

Previously released photos of the 25-year-old show the shamrock tattoo on her back and wearing a shamrock necklace.

After a six week trial, Anthony was acquitted on charges of murder, manslaughter and aggravated child abuse on Tuesday. She was convicted of four misdemeanor counts of lying to police and is set to be sentenced tomorrow.

When the verdict was read out shocked celebrities repsonded via Twitter:

Irish-American comedian Kathy Griffin tweeted: 'Wow.Ok, now this case has my attn. Not guilty? Really? I just assumed.'

Kim Kardashian wrote: 'WHAT!!!!???!!!CASEY ANTHONY FOUND NOT GUILTY!!! I am speechless!!!.'

Irish have enough bad stereotypes to live with without claiming people who are not Irish. As I have replied in another article on this site about the same topic Casey Anthony does NOT have Irish heritage. Her parents are of Italian and Romanian descent. Her fascination with things Irish is apparently because she was born close to but not on St Paddy's Day. Who can really fathom the way Casey's mind works and her adoption of things Irish but it is not a blood connection.
The prosecutors overcharged and should have pleaded the case out long ago as manslaughter. I doubt they could ever have proved the malice that would hold up on appeal if the death penalty had been imposed. The prosecutors threw in the kitchen sink and implied to the jury that they knew that they couldn't prove all the allegations. A body sniffing human as an expert - you must be kidding.
No wonder she's nuts - she's Irish.
I'd rather you didn't share that info with us, she's a disgrace to the Irish race.
Compare this case with that of a leading French banker..Now what do you think the different considerations are...in evidential or any other terms ???
this is not news, it's bottom feeding
As a doll enthusiast, I try very hard not to express religious, political or socially charged or controversial views. There is no place for this on a "doll collector" platform. Unfortunately, I am compelled to make an exception this once.... The following editorial is completely educated and true. Had I had the moxy, (or ability, tenacity, or funds to take the prep classes to pass the LSAT), I would have followed my heart's desire to defend the discriminated, downtrodden, wrongly accused and legally bullied persons of society. Regardless of the innocence or guilt of the accused, the 12 people charged with the responsibility of determining the verdict did their job, according to the instructions of the law - the rest of us did not expect them to - we expected them to exact revenge for the death of an innocent 2 year old. To those I may offend, may you never be in a similar position, regardless of your innocence or guilt. As dismaying at it is, there is no justice for Caylee no matter what, because vengeance will not allow her to continue her life. The guilty have made their bed, and I'm willing to bet that they will not be able to stay free in the future, despite this monumental decision. Probably, no lesson has been learned. If it truly has, the outcome will be a life turned around. As a society, the goal should be, rehabilitation. No nasty emails or comments, please. We are all entitled to our opinions.
