Caroline Wozniacki is ready to quit professional tennis to start a family with Irish golf superstar Rory McIlroy.

The Danish ace announced her engagement to former world number one, McIlroy, on New Year’s Eve.

Now the 23-year-old, a year younger than her fiancé, has hinted in an interview that she wants to become a ‘young mother.’

The Irish Independent reports that Wozniacki will quit tennis to begin a family with her boyfriend of three years.

Wozniacki said: “I want to be a relatively young mother, and I do not see it as being too far in the future.

“Therefore I have no dream to make my mark. Instead, I enjoy economic freedom my hard work has given me.

“It means I can give my children the best start in life by being there 100 percent for them.”

Currently number 14 in the world rankings, Wozniacki has earned over $15million from tennis.
