STEVEN and Mr Kenny are of the same mindset, they would have more in common with those that opposed Irish freedom rather than those who fought for it.Reality is that Ireland still has not got its freedom and maybe STEVEN is right, what Irish man wants to be reminded that we surrendered our nation to the saxon in all rebellions prior to and after that particular rebellion of 1916.A more true and fitting commemoration will be when Ireland as a free nation will take its place among the great nations of the world ,we may need the help of the Africans ,Polish and the Chinese to achieve this though, it certainly wont be achieved by those with the free state/ saxon blood lines.

STEVEN: You represent why so
many Irish in Ireland dont
deserve the freedom that
1916 gave you. You have no
respect for it. Most
normal countries preseve their
past and have museums and memorials
to the men and women who fought
for their freedom and independence
and right to rule themselves.
And most countries honor those
people and perserve battle
fields etc. Your neighbor has
an overwhelming amount of
museums and memeorials and
statues and plaques to all
sorts of battles both big
and small. You will find
them all over England. And
yet I guess that is OK in
your mind. Oh and by the
way I am Irish born.

WHY SHOULD WE REMEMBER 1916 ITS WAS A 100YEARS AGO WE HAVE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO BE DOING OVER HEREIN IRELAND LIKE CELEBRATING THE PEACE THAT WE HAVE NOW... I DO NOT WANT TO COMMERATE WARS AND KILLINGS... ITS NOW 2013 AND IRELAND IS A MUCH HAPPIER AND SAFER PLACE TO LIVE.. WE ALSO NOW HAVE GREAT RELATIONS WITH OUR NEIGHBORS THE UK AND THATS WHAT WE WANT TO FOCUS ON OVERE HERE !!! END OF STORY

I hope the Taoiseach will support
this museum. I think it would
heal so many wounds, as well as
preserve history. I know I would
want to visit a 1916 museum, especially in an authentic location. We, Irish-Americans in the USA, also feel starved of information about the Republican side of Irish History. It's tremendously meaningful to us.

Sad to see how the Irish have no respect for their heritage. That neighborhood is now a foreign migrant ghetto, full of Africans and Chinese, all kinds of huxter stores. The Irish capitalists would sell their own mother for a buck.
