"There are some things much worse than bloodshed. And slavery is one of them!" Comdt P H Pearse. BA/BL Schoolteacher/Lawyer/Patriot. Son of an Irish mother and English free thinker/dissenter/stonemason father. Fatalities of the week long Easter Rising, 1916 were an infinitesimal fraction of the Abrahamic abberation that was the four year long WWI, 1914-'18.

Let me tell you a little story "On your wounded knees".Three years ago in the town of Dungannon Ireland some of your loyalist/ unionist white supremacist friends wanted to march down a street to parade their bigoted white supremacy to Irish nationalists, somewhat in the way you ,Mr wounded knees and brain might do.The Polish emigrants that lived there took to the street and did not allow it to happen. The emigrants to our country with the help of Irish nationalists are not going to allow british white supremacists to dictate to us unfolding events taking place in our country. You Mr woundedknees are a washed up old white supremacist from America living in the past ,unable to come to terms with what is happening in the real world. You are full of anger because you want the country of your fore fathers to unite as an all white, bible dictated ,god fearing fascist nation. You poor unfortunate ,oversized, brainless plastic Irish leprechaun, your ancient romantic ideals for Ireland belong in the 19th century or in your bigoted enclave of South Boston , Sunnyside or whatever white supremacist hovel you live in.We Irish nationalists living here in Ireland all agree that the children of emigrants to our nation, be it white, yellow or black will one day play a huge role in determining the unity of our nation. In our view they will be a welcome change from the spineless genetics of your friends the british, normans and saxons.Your racist views are not welcome in the United States of America either ,Mr Woundedlegs please, what makes you think you can sell your bigoted views to the Irish. You plastic Patrick

What a crazy this poster Warrenpint is. I've seen some nutty posts in my time, but I don't think I've ever come across such a lunatic fantasy as his, in which " the Africans ,Polish and the Chinese" bring about a United Ireland. What a nut!

Ireland isn't part of England,
no matter how invaders have
tried to claim the island and
partition it. They tried to use popes against the people of Ireland, they robbed them of their land and burnt their humble homes. They used penal laws to keep them pennyless and uneducated. They used extreme and barbaric practices to terrorize the indigenous Irish. When all of this failed they created a 'famine' to try and finish them off. Now, there's still a few around that don't want the rest of the world to find out the truth. The truth does have way of getting out, though. The more it's resisted, the more obvious it becomes.

Mr anglo- norman.Please. You disrespect my title, you left out the OhOh.I know ,we in Warrenpoint were all surprised too, we never realised that so many saxons could be disposed of so easily from our shores in one day by Celtic warriors.Regarding your typical british orientated question I honestly cannot answer that about anyone on your list as I am sure none of them other than Mr Adams are alive and you should refer to him on this matter. As for Mr Adams being the foundation stone for Irish freedom a lot of Irish nationalist/republicans at this time might beg to differ with your sentiments, especially the many families of all those young Irish men that so nobly disposed of the saxon from Irish soil. slan leat

The museum to commerate the 1916 uprising shiould prominently display the Proclamation of Independence, which clearly states the patriots were seeking to liberate "the whole nation and all its parts". Partition and an independent Southern Irish state was never their objective. It also declated that, "The peole of Ireland had a right to the ownership of Ireland". Nowhere does it state that Arabs, Indians and Africans have a right to the ownership to Ireland or any of its parts. As a London-born U.S. citizen who often attents services in Methosist and Episcopal churches, I hope the proposed museum will be established and the aims of the the 1916 patriots will soon be achieved.

“The Irish of british blood especially english blood proved & continually to prove the best stock in Ireland in all aspects of Irish Life...FACT”
I’m guessing that in addition to trolling this site, you’re probably also one of the nordic suprem_cist freaks spending the rest of your waking hours posting at sites like scu_front. Historically, the indigenous population was deprived of all property and basic rights of human existence – even education was a felony. It’s absurd to compare them to the contemporaneous anglo population who had all of the resources and wealth of the country at their disposal. A more relevant comparison would be to the indigenous diaspora who left the country before the penal laws were in full force – they rose to the highest levels of European society (or even the few who went to the Americas such as Commodore John Barry). Another relevant comparison is what is happening in the O6 – as the indigenous population gains a modicum of parity they have easily overtaken the occupying population in terms of education – this is readily documented and undisputed. Moreover, the reference to “british” “blood” certainly begs the question as the Irish, Welsh and Scottish are more closely related genetically than the anglo-saxons. Furthermore, it’s well established that many indigenous families living in the Pale anglicized their last names to avoid being banished. Let’s see the evidence that Gerry Adams and Bobby Sands are from predominantly “saxon bloodlines” LOL.

Whoa! I did not mean to set off the
firestorm that is STEVENSTAR.
It's not about commemorating war
or killing - it's about preserving and respecting an event that brought about the Republic of Ireland.

Just like the Irish to propose celebrating the spot where Pearse ignominiously sent a girl out to the British with a scribbled surrender note. If they want to bang on about this disasterous event, they should at least have the wit to name it "SurrenderCentral".
