Irish star Pierce Brosnan - who plays Robert Pattinson's dad in "Remember Me" - was back on the set yesterday.

The movie, which has been filming in New York this week, has been besieged by female fans desperate for a glimpse of "Twillight" star Pattinson.

Brosnan, 55, who was vacationing in Hawaii, is bound to have some tips for 23-year-old Pattinson, on how to handle the sudden glare of fame and celebrity.

Pattinson is now one of the hottest stars around, a role that Brosnan knows well after his mega success with the James Bond movies.

There was another famous Irish American on the set yesterday; Diane Sawyer, the host of "Good Morning America," stopped by with her stepdaughter for a chat with Pattinson. Apparently Sawyer's step-daughter - or maybe Diane herself! has a major crush on Pattinson. Get in line girl!

Brosnan is among the cast members who has expressed concern that Pattinson is being overwhelmed with all the female attention.

Recently Pattinson complained bitterly that he feels in danger from out-of-control female fans in New York and that he is looking forward to heading back to London where he hopes things are quieter.

Yesterday's filming took place on the Upper East Side, around Regis High School, another Irish Catholic landmark in New York City.

The movie is expected to continue shooting in New York for the next few days.
