Could this work? I'm no expert, but if the Euro goes, or the Germans want to reconfigure, we may need a Plan B?

Whether we like it or not, our economy has mostly depended on the UK for trade, they are our only neighbor, our farmers need a close market for our abundant agricultural products. There are a lot of Irish mouths to feed in England also.

I believed that the adoption of the British pound would have been theideal bargaining chip with the Unionists in the North to unify the Country. Whose picture is on your currency is meaningless if your currency is worthless. Ireland is in this mess because the adoption of the euro lead to the bubble and, as a result, the creation of NAMA to bailout the banks.
