Merefalow, before you go off the deep end referring to people you obviously know nothing as "misogynist...fanatics" you might consider the whole story. The first step to stopping something is to determine why it happened, flinging around slurs is just for the mindless who are are willingly and mindlessly accepting the propaganda . This young girl might be worthy of some attention but she too is being exploited for political purposes
Agree with Will. Read an article in the FT on New Years eve that mentioned this years Red Hed Convention and Left Handed Festival/ Of course there is the Paddy Olympics in August which features the 100 metre backward dash. Ireland want to be seated at the grown ups table and treated like a real country, but continue to come up with these moronic events/awards.
Dear Willy, The Tipperary International Peace Award recognises the courage and tenacity of a young lady from a country where women are , at best, second class citizens. This young lady fills those criteria. You do not make your own candle burn any brighter by blowing other people's candles out.
What a ridiculous little country. A bunch of country bumpkins get together and make up meaningless award titles just to get themselves some attention.
BRILLIANT,anything that will put these misogynist religious murdering fanatics into richly deserved oblivion.brave little girl, there is no place in a modern world for the kind of mind set that brutalises and denies women equality, now India you need to set an examlple by exacuting your 6 rapists and kicking out of office any of your mp,s found guilty of abusing women.
