I Think the whole Sexual problem has ben covered up for over fifteen hundred years. its nothing new. Early Popes had children with their Daughters. The Vatican had a conubine for the Bishops & Popes its all History !
"If we do not learn now, we shall have to suffer more." --Hans Kung in Interview, recorded in Tubingen, Germany, July 17, 2010, with Dr. Anthony Padovano: "And so we shall learn. If we do not learn now, we shall have to suffer more. More people will leave, more parishes will be without pastors; more churches will be empty; more youth will trust no more. Consider the Church: more women will be in complete frustration and leave the Church or be disassociated internally from the Church, I think. And also in the ecumenical camp, the ecumenical sphere of the Church, they think we cannot go on with the Catholic Church, etc., etc. All these, I think, are indications that we have to change now." Things are beginning to change as Hans Kung prophesied, though the people in the Vatican may be the last to catch on.
The Vatican has nothing to learn, it knows everything, to the last tiny detail.
Hello all you American Irish people please try and remember what your parents and grandparents went through to bring up a good Christian, they will be turning in their grave the comments that are making about R.C.C.
You are kidding. The Globe is for government and against the church that Christ founded. I am shocked! The only good news is that the Globe and its parent, the New York Times, will be bankrupt soon.
Cardinal O'Malley's work to "repair the damage" is over-rated. First of all, he replaced the biggest pedophile protector in the history of Boston - Cardinal Law. Cardinal Law got a promotion for his pedophile protection prowess, getting a cushy job in Rome where he couldn't be imprisoned for his acts. O'Malley STILL hides the names of accused pedophile priests, and has always dragged his feet, delaying where ever possible, in dealing with these matters. He just looks good compared to his pitiful predecessor, like Saddam Hussein's replacement will look better than Saddam.
