McDonald's says: “That dream led my grandfather, a poor farm boy, to leave Ireland 100 years ago and come to Ellis Island to begin his journey of freedom in America.”McDonald left out one other very important action of the Irish immigrants; they all were active Democrats because the party which "they shaped" based on "their values" was one of empathy for the elderly, the sick the poor.McDonald's and "his" GOP lack any of those values.
The Ireland Gov. McDonald's grandfather left a century ago was still a united country -all under British rule-, but its economic condition was no worse that that of the Southern Irish state today. Manyy of us 'farm bos' came to this country in full compliance with the U.S. immigration laws, honorably served in the nation's defense forces and continue to be law-abiding, tax-paying citizens. But many politicians, clergy and journalsts are more supportive of illegal aliens who cost the paxpayers untold million, while we who contributed so much to the U.S. are taken for granted.
