Hume very politely plead with Tiger Woods on-air to seek salvation through Jesus Christ, whom Hume deeply believes in. I watched the original Hume broadcast, and Hume was in no way angry nor did he rant. He was polite and obviously concerned for Woods. One would hope staff writer Patrick Roberts would look a bit further for real news next time and cease targeting a bigoted audience. Bill O'Reilly--well, Bill is known for his cafeteria Catholicism and we should not be surprised that he is dismayed when someone voices, and actually believes, unadulterated Christian doctrine.
Brit Hume was speaking the truth. Christ offers forgiveness through His atoning blood that no other so called religion can offer. If Woods were to investigate and experience the Christian life he could find that forgiveness. THEN he could begin the process of recovering his family and career; things which would not be necessary if Tiger was living the Christian life in the first place. So Brit was right and I don't really think Bill "boxed him in".
This is such a farce story. Bill did not EXPOSE Brit Hume. He did the story on it, and he fully supports Brit Hume. Irish Central is becoming such a joke.
Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life.
Hume is an IDIOT....... OK so Tiger is not exactly a rocket scientist... But the arrogance of Hume should never be tolerated.. If Fox had an ounce of integrity he would be fired.... They don't so he still has a job
Brit Hume dares hint that Tiger Woods might consider Christianity because the Christian faith emphasizes forgiveness? Off with his head! When we speak of religious tolerance in this country, we mean for Muslims Jews or atheists---definitely NOT Christians.
Brit-when you're right, you're right.
