It is so refreshing to hear a comment from a newsman that is a Christian and realizes everyone needs God's help.Brit Hume is a real hero in my book. I hope Tiger hears his comment for I feel as Brit does it could help his marriage, his family and his life. Brit is at the top of my list and I hope to see more of him. I will trust his judgement after knowing his belief in Christianity and would certainly appreciate getting to hear more of his views.
Billo is just as big a hypocrite as Hume. The only reason he is attacking Brit is that someone might ask about his hobby of masturbating while forcing a subordinate to listen to him talk dirty.
I saw the show you are referring to and Brit Hume said whenever you mention Jesus Christ people tend to back off or look at you as if you've lost your mind, I agree. He just felt that since Tiger Woods has damaged himself so badly that maybe a little religion would help and he didn't demand it, he offered a suggestion, a good one I think. Obaviously Christanity has not been a part of his life and neither has a sex addiction clinic, he needs both of them badly. Last time I looked it was not a rant or a rave to suggest someone seek spiritual guidance, and the Buddhist religion is a not a lesser religion its just not what Bit Hume thought would help thats all. Mr. Hume is ususlly very quiet on personal subjects, he must have felt strongly about this one to even mention it in whats becoming a decadent, Godless society here in the states. Who is Bill O'Reilly to confront Brit Hume on this subject anyway? O'Reilly is a jerk.
Well...Tiger is not exactly 'Buddah Boy' so any advice for him to improve his lifestyle is for his benefit. Keep it up Brit!
obviously neither party are smart enough to realize it does not matter what you call the man above. It matters that you truly believe in a forgiving supreme being and be truly sorry for your transgressions and plan to avoid doing the same things again. Also make amends to those you hurt.Tiger hurt not only his family, he hurt all those that placed him on pedistal. God, Jahovah, Budda or whoever else you call the supreme being will listen and forgive. I cannot say he will be as lucky with those here on earth.
I am a "Fox-a holic" Who's O'Rielly
beachline: No one can "convert" someone; they have to do it themselves. I'd like to know where in the Constitution it says that a person cannot express his views on religion. The reason people came to the US in the first place was for the right to practice their religion without persecution. You need to study your American history. Don't spout sound bites when you don't know what you're talking about. The media in general gets upset whenever someone mentions Christianity. I wonder why?? They must be afraid of something.
"Clearly Hume has no qualms making Christianity a better religion than all others." Mr. Hume doesn't have to make Christianity a better religion. It already is. Where's your faith, man?
Typical Brit.
Scientific evidence is what intelligent design is all about Rick. Do have a look into it.
I'm sorry Bishop, but "intelligent design" is anything but! Only a moron would refuse to see what's in front of his eyes in the history of the world and the universe. Believe what you will, but science works with facts, not groundless faith.
You know, the Irish were responsible for the re-education and re-evangelization of Europe after the barbarian invasions in earlier centuries. With the modern advent of the European Union and its secular humanism, it appears the Irish are no longer "sellers" but "buyers" of the supposedly "modern" ideas and worldviews, which are pagan. But they are really based on flawed 19th century philosophies of Darwin, Marx, Nietzsche and Freud. The last 3 are now practically universally debunked. Darwinism is still tenaciously held to, but the science and philosophy of science of the past 60 years have exposed the fatal flaws of Darwinism as well, opening up even the world's greatest skeptics like Anthony Flew, Michael Denton, Lee Strobel and Karl Popper to the unavoidable evidence of intelligent design in the universe, from the smallest submicroscopic cells to the cosmos. It will take another ten to fifteen years for our university and secondary school texts to reflect this, but this is definitely the way of the future. In this, too many Irish and Irish Americans are more like the tail-light than the headlight on what modern society needs to know and move towards. Judeo-Christianity has given us a worldview that supports the ideas of objective truth, objective morality and even a Supreme Lawgiver. These notions have given the believing societies the greatest freedoms and prosperity in all history. Yet to be politically correct, we are willing to throw these items out. I congratulate Brit Hume on his lucid and sensitive message to Tiger Woods. The Buddha did not die on Calvary's cross for Tiger's sins (or mine or yours). Nor has Buddhism with its relativism and irrealism produced advanced societies, other than those which have come to emulate the Judeo-Christian societies. My sense in watching Bill O'Reilley's show was that Brit acquitted himself very well and that Bill O'Reilley really had no problem with Brit's excellent inputs. Best regards.
In era of personal truth no matter how far from reality, reactions not surprising. Only one creator who deserves worship. People are willing ignorant. True God loves everyone, but way thru son, no other way. Moon God allah or Buddha just Satanic deceptions. Seek him and you will find him. Serve living God.
All religions are simply methods of believing in a Supreme Being--whether you call that Being GOD, JESUS CHRIST, ALLAH, BUDDAH, GREAT SPIRIT, or any other name. We each have our own beliefs, and for anyone to try to "convert" us to their way of thinking is against the Constitution of the U.S....so all of the religious extremeists and fanatics should keep and practice tolerance as taught in all religions.
Only an idiot believes forgiveness is in the hands of man...ANY HUMAN!!!!
