Bill O'Reilly hasn't enjoyed the recent election results, but more than that he really hasn't enjoyed being ribbed by Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart lately.

According to the Huffington Post, in a blistering response on his 'Reality Check' segment on Monday night, the Fox News pundit angrily blasted Stewart for lampooning him for 'lamenting' that 'traditional Americans' did not reelect President Obama and therefore, 'traditional America as we knew it is gone.'

O'Reilly has laid Mitt Romney's poor showing on November 6 at the feet of voters he apparently considers 'non-traditional Americans' - blacks, women, Latinos and gays - and the successful coalition they formed to keep him from the White House.

Asked by Stewart to clarify what on earth he was talking about, O'Reilly fired back.

'Well here's what I'm talking about, Mr. Obtuse,' O'Reilly snarled. Voters for Obama 'want a large government that spends heavily on entitlements because that reduces so-called income inequality.'

O'Reilly, a multimillionaire, didn't deny income inequality was a reality, he only lamented that the administration would do anything about it.

'They wanted equality for gays in the marriage arena,' he fumed, further chastising Obama voters.

'They want unfettered abortion, with no parental notification for minors. They want a one world foreign policy that gives other nations equal status to America. Here's a bulletin to those pinheads at Comedy Central: 'Those are not traditional positions!' Clear about this?'

Non traditional Americans apparently want America to fail economically, militarily and culturally, when they’re not busy getting gay married and having abortions, O’Reilly inferred.

O'Reilly later added that he was not lamenting anything, saying that he was in a 'no lamenting zone.' But that wasn't true last week when O'Reilly was lamenting the symbolic collapse of the fictional white picket fence world of Wally and the Beave after he was deeply startled by the election results.

John Stewart is a Jack Ass, he is not even a Democrat. He is a comedian to remember and Satire is the back drop for his show. I think his stereotyping of Irish people is very insulting. Especially when he opts to portray a Calvinistic lamentation of Irishness as drunk and rowdy. Most of his points however are valid despite the Anti Irish crap he carries on with. Not sure where he gets it from though because apparently he was raised as a Jewish American in New Jersey where he got beat up often, though I would say his abusers were likely Italians, Irony. Then again one of his best friends is Colbert, a Prodestant, and you know they are very opposed to Dublin Rule and the IRA as we all know, so surely he gets it from them. Maybe there not talking at the moment and he is trying to get an invite to one of their secret booze ups who knows. OReilly does have a point to. Traditional America has been eroded or has it. No the whiteys are still in control of everything Jon Stewart being one of them. As a former Irish Catholic though I have to say I prefer the most those American Protestants anyway because they are alot more tolerant than say the British ones. This has been fun.
Will Hamilton, I am really tired of you people that think that if a person is born in a country other then Ireland that they cannot be "Irish". There are Irish people in countries all over the world, They are in Canada, Australia, Mexico, New Zealand, Argentina, etc. You may have a piece of paper saying you are an Irish citizen but we have DNA that says we are Irish. You can change the piece of paper but you cannot change DNA. It was not too long ago that people born in Ireland had a piece of paper saying "British" did that mean that they were not Irish? Irish is in the blood, not on a piece of paper. I am a Celt and I was born in the US. I am not an Irish citizen but I am Irish. Is Hamilton a Celtic name?
Obtuse, said the kettle to the pot But more concerning is the comment below, "we live in a free country "... try picketing against the slaughter in Gaza and see how free we are. Our president says he will protect whistle-blowers and then proceeds to lock them up without trial And last but not least get resolutions passed in the City of Chicago and in the Sate of Ill for fair employment in N.Ireland and you will have Ed Buckley, a corrupt Fbi agent, at you door with armed jack-booted thugs, hustled off to lockup and withstand 15 months of continual harassment and dozens of court appearances only to have them ask to have the case tossed because the only evidence they had was that which they, the FBI, manufactured , Buckley was later involved in the framing of Michael McKevitt and of Richard Jewell [ framed for the Olympic bombing in Atlanta] This is Freedom, get a grip on yourself
Anyone who claims President Obama is a Marxist/Socialist isn't in touch with reality and shouldn't vote.
Some of the comments posted that the commies are in charge are not true ... you see one has to live in a Marxist society where your comments would put you in Siberia real fast. In reality we live in a free country with democratic ideals-- protected by our constitution. You are free to express your opinions and no one will knock at your door at midnight and you just disappear. We are blessed that we live in America where we can agree to disagree. If one will just take a look at our football and baseball games that are viewed and seen by many... you will see the strength of America-- FREEDOM--. I don't see Karl.
You guys don't get it. This is more about what is happening regarding the debasement of American values and traditions as established by the founders. they are being eroded at a rapid pace and the left-wing fanatics under the umbrella of the auspices of the Democratic party are the main culprits. President Obama with his Marxist/Socialist leanings and associations is stepping up the pace. O'Reilly is simply pointing out what almost every true American can see with their own eyes but which will never be acknowledged by the mainstream media as they are participants. They do not report truth but partake inslanted editorializing.
Has O'Reilly ever really gotten over the outcome of WWII? Given the basics of the domestic policy he continually harps on about, he can't have been happy about that one. REAL Republicans and REAL Americans want to TURN OUT the vote, not suppress it, and work to deliver programs that the majority of Americans feel are in their best interest (that isn't a "gift" to any group, that is good government) and that is why a majority of Americans (and even an enormous number of us Republicans) re-elected the best moderate president since Ike!
@Rose528: A rose by any other name is not necessarily a rose.
Blacks, women, latinos, gays" are the new normal. Now, the Catholic Church and its American Irish leadership are within the crosshairs of retribution. The Bible is irrelevant. It is all about Marx and Lenin and their progeny Obama.
I you wantb to know what really happened to the US, read the Lewis Powell memo on how corporations could organize to take over US democracy. This has happened, with the help of Fox "News." ... Just google Powell memo corporate democracy.
He'll be even more disillusioned if he ever finds out he's American and not Irish. People like him who don't think enough of America to describe themselves as Americans should be using the term Plastic Paddy-Americans instead.
@seanmor the repugs are all losers if you voted for a repug you're in the losing party and it will be a long time before another repugs is voted into the White House
I'm ashamed to call bill a Irishman.
Bill doesn’t seem to grasp the obvious; the mention of a sit-com from the late fifties shows just how ‘obtuse’ Mr O’Reilly can be! The folks @ FOX are falling all over themselves trying to create ‘the reasons’ the Republicans lost when in fact they had a lot to do with it....
"OBTUSE" ,you say Bill O' ? Where did you dig that one up from ?Granpa must have brought that one from the Bogs Of Cavan !!! Nothing dull, dim , stupid about Stewart. He really got your OIRISH up and made you look "OBTUSE"...AGAIN.Bill O' ,stop crying in your beer.
