Thought when I saw Obama in the headline I might see a critical comment on the presidents views in the upcoming election. The Romney articles seem to be critical of anything Romney, Must just be the Progressive idea of fair and balanced.

@mairint.. I believe the Marinists are still supposed to believe in “Thou shalt not bear false witness”. Slander is slander, even when it’s against someone who "you" think doesn't follow your ideal of Christianity (or a real American) as you have stated. And for your statements on evil, do you know how many abortions are performed yearly in Italy (and Rome); between 115,00 to 235,00. All of us will have to stand before God one day and be judges for our decisions and choices. Whether it’s the politician who uses Christianity to manipulate votes then goes on to support cuts against the poor, and the sick, or the political wives who acted like they were against abortion during their husbands presidential terms, only to “come out” directly after with statements in support of abortion (as Bush wife 1 and 2 did). Abortion is not a problem unique to America or Obama; painting it as it is, is a smear and a falsehood. Obama did not create abortion in America; Roe vs Wade did, passed by the Supreme Court during the GOP Nixon administration. In his speech at Notre Dame, Obama clearly stated “let's work together to reduce the number of women seeking abortions by reducing unintended pregnancies, and making adoption more available, and providing care and support for women who do carry their child to term. Those are his real words. Smear is also evil.

Want to be POTUS or run for the office of POTUS? Then run on your own record and/or platform. I want to know what YOU'RE going to do and not about what a past POTUS did. I already know what the past POTUS did. Move on. This goes for all candidates, now and in the future. What? Since people are living under such a big rock in Ireland, they need to be made aware by Donnelly & the Moneygall set that there's an election coming in Nov. and as Dems they should vote for Obama? Whatever. Newsflash: Obama & Romney supporters already know who they're going to vote for and Ind.s don't need any advice from anyone from Moneygall.

Any chance of having an alcohol-free celebration. Less devil's buttermilk and more soft drinks or alcohol free beer. Great opportunity to promote responsible abstinence. Think of the good karma that would accrue by having a re-election campaign sponsored by Fr Theobald Matthew's Pioneer Total Abstinence (Temperance) Movement and/or Bill Wilson's Alcoholic Anonymous (AA).

Mairint, as a female, abortion is neccessary. If I want one, I will have one regardless of your christian beliefs.
You think Obama was bad? Do you remember who was before him? Seriously? The Bush family and the foreign policies of your leaders are the reason your country is a terrorist target, not Obama.

michaelidaho To truly judge a man, or his presidency you have to put it in the factual context of what was on his doorstep the day he walked in. To not mention the greatest financial collapse since 1929, accompanied by the deficit grown by the Bush presidency and its effects on the American economy and the initial Obama presidency would be unfair and unjust.

Now lads, you want to make yourselves out to be even greater fools? Lord help us.....Obama, the greatest disaster ever to hit the U.S.A. Still doubts he is a genuine American, definitely not a Christian, in fact anti Christian due to his overruling the Constitution. What sort of President favours spending billions on furthering abortion programs both within U.S. and in other countries. Only one word for that, Evil.
