bonjouryall - Correction - The Wallstreet bailout was under W. not Obama and it WAS poorly done. Obama bailed out the Auto Companies and it was WELL done. You ask "Tell me what has Obama done for the middle class or young people for that matter." Since you ask: 1. When Obama took office, we were LOSING 800 jobs every month thanks to the policies that Magical Mitt the Mendacious wants to bring back ON STEROIDS. Now in each of our last three months we have added over 170,000 American jobs. In four years, he has added more jobs than W. did in 8. 2. Obama has given congress several bills that would make the jobs situation better but the GOP has rejected them in their desire for power. Especially heinous was their rejection of the Jobs for Vets bill. 3. Obama has removed big banks from the student loan program and used the savings to finance more pell grants for young people. 4. His end to DADT allows thousands of military personel to serve without violating their oaths by living a lie. 5. His Wallstreet regulations and consumer bill of rights will help prevent future abuses if congress ever allows them to actually go into effect. There is so much more but I am running out of allowed space on this post so if you want more reasons to vote for him please go to his website. He has really been a GREAT President considering what he was left and how little help he was given.

7.9% unemployment is good??? I"m shocked. Tell me what has Obama done for the middle class or young people for that matter. Rather than address the needs of the social security fund, he's continuing to drain it as part of his 'stimulus'; he's keeping it underfunded by starting up an underfunded Obamacare, which was not the smartest idea in a deep recession anyway. He got three more free trade treaties passed just this past year for the multinationals; bailed out Wall St 100 cents on the dollar rather than give them a haircut; and, since he takes credit for Bin Laden, he also must be debited for the death of an ambassador and staff in Libia.

The lights are all back on in New York City. Contrast that with George W Bush's Katrina debacle. And employment is up! And the city is pulling together to help those in need, with Republicans working alongside Democratic leaders. That's change we can believe in.

Seanomelb, not so fast. Perhaps you are the one who should emigrate. India would love you. This country would certainly benefit from your exit.

@Parents--Obama's campaign set a goal of 1 BILLION dollars for his reelection. Did you assume it would, by some miracle fall from the sky, or perhaps a few back yard weekend bake sales. Clooney throws a so-called buffoon Hollywood celebrity party and raises several MILLION in one night. Gutter-mouth Bill Mahar personally kicks in 1 MILLION dollars. Please, spare us the same old lines you've learned to repeat from Master Democrats. Those damn greedy, wealthy rich Republicans! NOT

Just heard that Obama has cut through red tape so that gas filled ocean tankers can land in NYC harbor with no delay time. Now if the refinerys and gas stations could just get some electricity! Our power lines are under ground here. What say we bury the ones where trees are likely to fall on them before this happens again.

Of course Obama at last made a stab at doing his job, the opportunity presented itself to the detriment of so many misfortunate people. He is out now shouting and still blaming Bush for his lack of leadership, touting BinLaden is dead and peace is about to happen as soon as you re-elect me, he is right on one count, BinLaden is dead ans so is our Ambassador and three other Americans due to his incompetence. If we elect this misfit again we deserve what we get. He certainly will not get my vote to aid him in destroying my country. "Honor" he never heard the word or knows what it is.

faberm1 & staker42 - Regarding Obama's handling of Sandy: I just watched a clip of NYC Mayor Michael Bloomburg at a press conference from BEFORE the storm hit. He tells the reporters that President Obama called him and offered to PRE-POSITION FEMA assets around the city so that they would be readily available immediately after the storm moved on. The Mayor then says that he told the President that NYC would not need them. I saw the Mayor in a press conference two days before the storm say that he did not think evacuation of any of the city would be necessary. The next day, I saw Jim Cantore of the Weather Channel at the Battery saying he could not believe that the Mayor was not ordering an evacuation. An hour later I heard that Bloomburg had ordered an evacuation but only for zone A. By contrast, NJ Governor Christe welcomed the President's offer to pre-position FEMA and TWO days ahead ordered evacuations. The Governor played it safe and the Mayor gambled with people's lives but Obama gave both of them the same offer of support. Obama is not a dictator. This is what happens when you have local control. If you have a good leader at the local level, you are better off than if you have a not so good leader there. Obama was there before the storm for those on Staten Island but was rejected. Now he has sent in FEMA as soon after as the clearing of roads would allow. Please direct your blame toward those responsible rather than the President.
