They are in trouble in the U.S. for fraudulent mortgage practices.
If they are dropping Ireland, it seems only fair that Irish card holders drop them. That might create a opening for a new company to buy up the Irish holdings with a ready to go credit card market and trained workforce.
Why don't they look at USAA Bank? Has UK operations and while its insurance end is open only to retired and active duty US military personnel its banking facilities are open to all. USAA Bank has an excellent reputation.
no surprise here...the worst bank ever...I could never support this bank....they are bottom line people...hope something better comes along for those without a job...just because they are called BANK OF AMERICA..they are not your local friendly bank..I have met several people who feel the same about this outfit....good riddance...
fair weather to their heels.!
More likely they will sell what assets they can and shed a few jobs. Just another IDA Backed failure.
Good riddance ! A failed bank proped up at the American taxpayers expense. Better to do business at home than with a foriegn bank anyways.........
