Anything that gets rid of the memory of a corney stage Irish film character, equating Irish people with fighting drunkard, is alright in my books. Hollywood stereotyping have a lot to answer for. No Irish person says "Faith and begorragh". Fewer still are alcoholic, misogynistic, pugilists. Wake up people. Get with the programme.
