For critics of Congressman Anthony Weiner, every day has become a waiting game. After even President Obama felt compelled to weigh in on the congressman's travails, the question on everyone's lips is will he resign or not?
Most people understand the president was delivering a strong hint. So it's simply not known why Weiner has decided to hang on - at least for the foreseeable future.
Some suggest Weiner believes that with a stint in rehab treatment and America's short attention span, he could reinstate himself eventually in the public eye. He may also be counting on the support of his local constituents, which all the polls argue he can.
Should he choose to brazen it out, would there still be any point? Some critics say that having lost the support of his colleagues and even the president, Weiner's ability to serve as an effective member of Congress is in doubt.

But the thing is, Weiner was a Democratic rock star before the scandal broke, in fact he was a leading contender for mayor of New York City, and his accomplished wife is a close friend and colleague of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Observers say that all of that significance may be hard to give up over a relatively minor sex scandal, whose details - although titillating - are apparently not illegal.
Critics say the drive and ambition that drove him to become a congressman and a mayoral candidate may also be the thing blinding him to the suggestion that his time has come.

I know a good septic tank the Fox/GOP channel.

**Anthony Weiner refuses to resign despite comments from Obama** -- Obviously, if you want someone with less shame, honor, and gutter morals you'll just have to wade into the depths of a septic tank.. and try to make friends with democrat voters.

**It was VIRTUAL Sex** -- So the demo pit-bull might have gotten a cyber-pay-off behind however many screens and keyboards he used for his heavy-breathing, and what appears to have been a relentless self-promotion of his 'attributes' to a legion of women, but despite what others say about his 'superior intelligence' (that's how demos categorize those who carry water for them, and verbally bludgeon their opponents, even while the substance behind them might be inexistent), reality says that the only thing this guy had in abundance was ARROGANCE. He was not smart enough to weigh the consequences of his actions, which entailed nothing less than political self-preservation. -- Even the prostitute he was trying to lure with his "package" appears to have been smarter than he.. and the notorious Gloria Allred will prove it, dontcha know?

Here's how the expected democrap resolution of the Wiener problem will pan out: 1) Why should he go, his constituents have no problem with his 'morals'? Democraps do not focus on 'morals' issues since to them everything is 'relative,' you know.. I'm OK, you're OK, move along folks, nothing to see here.. -- It's only those 'morals' issues that involve Repubs that concern them, because it is Repubs ONLY who claim to espouse 'Christian values,' and they are nothing but 'hypocrites' to begin with...no? -- 2) The upOBummerSphincterMedia will sweep the whole thing under the rug by keeping the conversation in low volume. Wiener is Schumer's protégé; the whole thing will soon blow away and his patron will find some 'lateral promotion,' somewhere inside the admin, which will keep Wiener earning a six figure salary at the taxpayer's expense. No skin off Schumer's teeth, the sheeple know how WE democraps operate.. they'll just grin and bear it, end of story!

Are you, IC, another Soros-funded website? Just sayin'... well actually, no, I am throwing a full accusation since my posts here have been disappearing, while those favorable to the lefttard-democrap point of view continue 'UNMOLESTED!' --This is one more example of outright censorship from the unprincipled, un-American, Irish-Am SOCIALIST CADRE, because it's clear you neither believe, nor intend to honor freedom of speech!--- Not surprising during this supposed "most transparent of ALL administrations," which is anything BUT! It has instead imposed a climate of repression of its 'enemies,' of back-room dealings, of political pay-offs to unions, of criminal unaccountability, of arms sales to drug dealers that kill those who work to enforce the law... all under the watch of a racist Atty. General: Eric Holder, and the incompetent figure-head lackey of the communist international that put him there to bring their agenda to fruition. -- Is this plausible? Quite, since not even those who post clearly antagonistic screeds in response to the mullings of the head-honcho of this cyber-rag get tossed!

Why do they keep picking on "Little Weiner"? So what, he's a sleaze ball. All Democrats are sleaze ball, but loveable sleaze balls. Jack, Bobbysocks, and Ted were all sleaze balls, Bill Clinton continued the tradition. Recently, the David Letterman defense was developed after he did something naughty. David Letterman didn't lose his job after taking advantage of a woman employee, because David Letterman never professed to being anything other then a sleaze ball. Only moral Republicans can be hounded from office. So Weiner is not being ask to leave, because he was a sleaze ball, but instead because of pictures of his little friend. If his little friend had been larger, then the Democrats would have granted him the David Letterman defense.

The moral alley cats in the GOP sniffing at the door of a DEM congressman.

Yes, he does need to go. How can he do such an important job when he has become such a joke to the American people? He is not only a pervert but also has proven to be a liar, cheat, and has indulged in slander! But unfortunately, he insists on staying. We shall see what happens in the upcoming days!

JAMES IS CLEARLY MAKING UP STORIES. THE BOTTOM LINE IS WEINER IS AN ARROGANT IMMORAL JERK AND NEEDS TO RESIGN!
rpmschevy | Jun 15, 2011, 12:26 PM EDT
What a surprise from the "progressive" who says he should not leave. Of course james calls out republicans (and note several have left, just last year one man who only send a pic of himself without a shirt on left) but when an anti-Constitutional Dem does something amoral he says "let him stay". Our representatives are not suppose to be their for life. They pledge to uphold our Constitution and be moral. Shoot he sent stuff to underage girls, what if had been your daughter james? How about Jefferson from Lousiana james or Maxwell from California, other polluters of Congress who refuse to go.
DLW12183 | Jun 15, 2011, 10:41 AM EDT
This is what we call the new morality. Most of the people do the same thing so it is ok even if he is an elected politician. Maybe we should drop the charges against the former IMF head and move this new morality forward. Disgusting isn't it--but true.
jamthecat | Jun 15, 2011, 10:09 AM EDT
To be honest, I hope he does NOT resign. This is all so ridiculous, it's embarrassing to the country. So he's a skank, so what? 90% of politicians have done far worse than he but don't get called on to quit. And Weiner never pretended to be a paragon of moral family values or vote against equal rights for all citizens...unlike so damn many Republicans who then got caught out as the hyopocrites they are.
