Rosie O’Donnell’s interview with Chelsea Handler, which aired on the Oprah Winfrey Network, (OWN) has caused great offense in among American little people.

Speaking on “The Rosie Show”, the two talk show hosts discussed their opinions of little people.

O’Donnell began by saying, “I'm a little ashamed about it [but] I have a mild fear or anxiety around little people.” And continued by asking “Would you ever do a little person?”

Handler said "No, that would be child abuse. I'd never do that."

"That's half my issue," O'Donnell said. "The problem with me is I can't put the two things together. This is an adult person, a little person ... it's so hard for me."

Handler said “I love little people…I want to tackle them. I see them and I want to hold myself down. I bite Chuy [Bravo] sometimes... He's so cute and that's my ultimate body. If you're going to have a little person, I want that shape, the corpulence."

Bizarre as Irish burglar receives $225,000 compensation from his victim in compensation claim

Little People of America, a support group for Americans of short stature due to dwarfism, has taken great issue with their comments.

Spokesperson Leah Smith told Huffington Post that both of their viewpoints are equally offensive and has sent open letters to both hosts to let them know their views.

She said, “We decided to separate the two because they are both equally offensive, but
separate…Handler used a lot of 'pity rhetoric' when discussing Chuy, saying he couldn't get a job if not for her.

"For the record, we're not in need of 'getting saved.' We are capable of being successful in any job."

Handler often asks Bravo, who works with her, to dress up in baby clothes. He has publicly said he has no problem with this and says it’s part of the job. Smith said her group has no problem with him taking this job.

Smith says O’Donnell is perpetuating "fear-based attitudes."

"Instead of perpetuating these fears, let's learn how to accept differences."

Here’s a clip of the interview:

How could this lump of a woman criticize a little person. Sure she' only a ......................
Ha! Jacersagain ,that was good!
To lighten up Leah Smith, I’m sure she won’t mind me telling a recently voted best joke - of the bloke who rear-ended a car at traffic lights. The other driver got out and well... he was a dwarf. You know that peculiar moment when everything suddenly seems faintly snow-white dazedly funny even in such a bad moment? Well, the dwarf looked up at the other driver and, punching his own chest, shouted “I’M NOT HAPPY!” To which he asked “Well, then, which one ARE you then??” ICentral’s editor will probably use Tippex to erase this joke but I hope he doesn’t swallow any of it... he might wake up with a correction.
This story reminded me of two things – one a joke, the other a sad, true story. The true story was back a couple of decades ago, where a very tall British beauty queen married a dwarf and lived happily together. It was all over the papers again when she became pregnant; the tabloids covered their lovey-dovey happiness as the pregnancy wore on and a baby duly born at full term. Both were seen joyful in photos, baby in arms. Then, a few months later, the baby was found to have dwarfism. The beauty queen was devastated, lost her mind over it and the couple eventually divorced. Very sad that. (Joke next...)
Need a damn big vale for Rosie to hide!
Oh dear, this is gonna upset Tyrion Lannister. Rosie, I would go hide in the vale.
Does anyone really care or think of these goofs as an authority? You almost deserve what you get by listening and caring what clueless 1%er celebrities think.
Rosie Oh Rosie you have no complaint ,little people are nice and you sure as hell ain't.Your moanin and groanin is tiring as well , and you and miss Handler can go right to he..
Rosie O'Donnell is the classic example of Mark Twain's famous comment, "It is often better to keep one's mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt."
jamielm I have realized that time and time again ,some (fat)liberal is telling me how the world should be,or worse yet how I should be!
these two are a couple of wack chicks... why take their sideshow seriously at all, at all?
Compared to Rosie most of us are little people. Idbet she would do m. Moore and then we could have a winner for the least attractive human.
Btw: what narrow-minded drivel from O"Donnell who is supposed to be so liberal and wants everyone to accept gay people, but she speaks so disparaging about little people. Hypocrite.
O' Donnell and Handler have no business demeaning anyone, especially since they're hardly worthy of passing judgment on anyone. I find them offensive. Oprah, shame on you for allowing this low-class, disgusting "conversation" to take place on your network. Time to give these 2 twits the boot.
Murph, bravo!
