A spokesman advised customers affected by the cancellations to visit its website where they can change their flights to another date of travel, free of charge.

The spokesman said: “Customers who wish to cancel their travel plans will receive a full refund and are asked to use the refund request facility on AerLingus.com.

“Aer Lingus apologises to all customers affected by these cancellations.”

Any changes to other U.S. flights will be made as the airline assesses the threat posed by Hurricane Sandy.

As did British Airways and Virgin.
why not go the whole hog and do full research and highlight the fact that Aer Lingus isnt alone - Continental United cancelled all their flights too - why be so dramatic about Aer Lingus!
