Much evil perpertated under guise of religion on the
sheep whom jesus unleashed. Now we have another opportunity
to relate; American Baptists were being held in the Haitian capital Sunday after trying take 33 children out of Haiti.

it's no secret or mystery as to why they are dead set against letting woman and married men and families into the inner circle of the fold...Because if they were all given seats 'at the table' and made privy to the inner workings of private settlements $ and negotiations

kilgara "overemphasis ?" You are part of the abuse problem. The church is self destructing because it went the way of the lawyers, instead of the way of Christ. If it had been your little child abused and the church willfully concealed it, then what would you be saying?

O'Dowd, the good nuns taught us that one of the gravest sins is to bring scandal on the church.Your outrageous overemphasis on the scandal does just that. Why do you hate the church so?You'll pay a heavy price sooner or later.

Suggest if you want to know more about the Ireland-American predatory priest connection, you will find the whole story in my book, "An Irish Tragedy: How sex abuse by Irish priests helped cripple the Catholic Church." This database of 70 Irish priests, published in Bishop-Accoutability.org, is based on my book, which is available on Amazon.com--Joe Rigert, author.

The only way there will be any accountability or transparency in the institutional Roman Catholic Church in the United States, Ireland or anywhere else is if we, Catholics or not, advocates, activists, members of groups -
like the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP) [www.snapnetwork.org],
the National Survivor Advocates Coalition (NSAC) [www.nsacoalition.org],
Voice of the Faithful in the U.S. (VOTF) [www.votf.org] or
VOTF in Ireland [www.votfi.com],
the National Association to Prevent Sexual Abuse of Children (NAPSAC) [www.napsac.us],
continue to lobby for significant changes in child abuse legislative while continuing to point out the contradictions between the bishops’ statments of care and concern and their vicious actions in opposing reform.
They must be held accountable for their crimes and mortal sins of commission and omissiion.

They say that god created whiskey to keep the Irish from ruling the world, but that's not true, any group of people stupid enough to buy into the bullshit that is Catholicism can't even rule their own country let alone the world. If you're ignorant enough to give these predators that much power then you deserve what you get.

Since the auto-destruction of the Catholic Church has in fact been going on for well over 150 years, gradually gaining in strength and power and now completely visible to the entire world, the remaining faithful Catholics, and esp. the faithful Irish Catholics, might do well to pray humbly to the Holy Ghost and refresh their minds by reexamining the Encyclical of Pope Saint Pius X, "Pascendi Dominici Gregis," issued September 8, 1907, easily found on the internet, also Matthew 24; 2nd Timothy 3,and 4:1-8. Study, meditate, and pray to seek that grace which will enable one to truly understand the Church and the world today. It's just that simple, if one can set one's pride aside long enough to grasp the enormity of what has occured. "He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"
Pray as did the blind man when asked by Our Lord what he would have of Him: "Lord, that I may see."

Am I The Only Person Who Gets It? That There Are Those Who "Are Called To Do Gods Work", That Are Actually Social Misfits. They Find Themselves A Nice Little Niche, Within The Comforts Of The Priesthood. There They Can Prey On Their Victims,At Will.

It would have been impossible to give them cushy jobs in Rome because there are so many sexually oriented priests and not that many cushy jobs available in Rome. After all how many similar priests are there in other countries throughout the world that would like to have a cushy job?
