Kilgara, we are in 2010 a time where 'free' thinkers no longer fear the threat of "paying a heavy price" Your comment reeks of the 'good' nuns brainwashing tactics. Those who 'tell it as it is' have nothing to fear. Don't forget the commandment "Thou shalt not bear false witness" It is stated nowhere that one of the gravest sins is to bring scandal on the church. It's with words like these that a brainwashed nation closed its eyes to abuse from the 'good' nuns, priests, bishops etc. We through fear of eternal punishment in the raging fires of hell (this is how hell was described to me by a priest at the age of 6 after we had all been obliged to burn a finger to give us a 'small' idea of what hell was like) became complaisant and thanked God we were not the child picked on for a beating by the 'Holy' priests and nuns.

They say that god created whiskey to keep the Irish from ruling the world, but that's not true, any group of people stupid enough to buy into the bullshit that is Catholicism can't even rule their own country let alone the world. Since the auto-destruction of the Catholic Church has in fact been going on for well over 150 years, gradually gaining in strength and power and now completely visible to the entire world, the remaining faithful Catholics, and esp. the faithful Irish Catholics, might do well to pray humbly to the Holy Ghost and refresh their minds by reexamining the Encyclical of Pope Saint Pius X, "Pascendi Dominici Gregis," issued September 8, 1907, easily found on the internet, also Matthew 24; 2nd Timothy 3,and 4:1-8. Study, meditate, and pray to seek that grace which will enable one to truly understand the Church and the world today. It's just that simple, if one can set one's pride aside long enough to grasp the enormity of what has occured. "He who has ears to hear, let him hear!" Pray as did the blind man when asked by Our Lord what he would have of Him: "Lord, that I may see."

Am I The Only Person Who Gets It? That There Are Those Who "Are Called To Do Gods Work", That Are Actually Social Misfits. They Find Themselves A Nice Little Niche, Within The Comforts Of The Priesthood. There They Can Prey On Their Victims,At Will.

It would have been impossible to give them cushy jobs in Rome because there are so many sexually oriented priests and not that many cushy jobs available in Rome. After all how many similar priests are there in other countries throughout the world that would like to have a cushy job?

I cannot understand why they were not given cushy jobs in Rome.
