Five-year-old Niall Finnegan, who won second place in the Boys Special at the Golden Gate Feis, wants a spot on "Riverdance!"

Niall, whose father hails from Dublin and whose Irish-American mother Kathy is a former World Champion Dancer, got hooked on Irish dancing after watching "Riverdance" in Ireland on a family trip home.

With a World Champion mother, dancing is clearly in the family. And, Niall says, his sisters "are really good dancers, and my cousins dance too."

It's a generational thing too, because Niall dances at the Healy school in San Francisco which is the same school his mother nad gramdmother danced at.

Niall gets more out of dancing that just dance. "It's fun to make friends," he says. "Barely any of my schoolfriends do it, but I make new friends."

And the five-year-old's ambition? He wants to dance "until I get into 'Riverdance.'"
