bunkerhill..That's the only reason I post here.To counteract misinformation about Ireland's history. All that head measuring and Eugenics was just a load of crap. The term was first formulated by a Brit Sir Francis Galton in 1883.But was quickly abandoned when he found the British people in no way qualified as a master race probably because English teeth grow in all directions.lol Hitler again took up the head measuring and Eugenics but after much head measuring it to ended in despair. But he decided the Germans were the master race anyway.Bunkerhill royalty is all about placing themselves above everyone else by birthright.I would call that a master clique rather then a master race.

to sirpeter - No disagreement. There is no such thing as a master race but open a history book and there it is benefitting a group of royals across Europe. I can tell you in the US in the early 19th century, there was a measuring of heads to determine if you were an AS or a member of the Nordic master race.
Long heads and high foreheads were the measure of superiority. Can you believe such ignorance and can you believe the suffering imposed on those who did not pass this insane test? How many of the royal AS's in England could have passed the test? My only concern is that every person on this planet, and especially Ireland given their past and present history, be given their true history and not that of some "master race" to benefit a few inbred lazy royals.

Antoman - You are a happy camper on our planet. We have survived to an elderly age so we are truly in your camp but I have fought for that privilege and my wife's family and ancestors did the same. However most often happiness and optimism can be found in the most desperate of situations. You are lucky and we are happy for you.

bunkerhill..You have alot of questions there. But to be honest most are quite simple to answer. For starters human genetics and DNA can't prove you are "Super" in any way, except that your are classed as a Homo sapien (Wise Man)of upright walking primates in Hominidae, the great ape family.Modern humans originated in Africa about 200,000 years ago, reaching full behavioral modernity around 50,000 years ago. So in other words if you were to take a hunter gatherer child from 50,000 years ago anywhere in the world, that child would have as much intelligent and chance of flying the space shuttle as a child born to-day.No such thing as a master race. BUT you do have population traits due to breeding within a group of people(ie Breeding pedigree dogs is an extreme example of close inbreeding)Physical looks can be classed in a general way. As for the Royal family (tall blue eyed blondes?)you have got to be joking (Google kings and queens of England) Quote"Columbus learned about the land across the sea from the Irish" Yes!!It's highly possible. The Voyage of Saint Brendan was recorded around 900 AD. There are well over 100 manuscripts of the story across Europe.Quote"If the vikings were such great sailors, why did the Portugese and Spanish have to sail so far north to bring them goods?Unquote. That's an easy question!! Think traveling salesman.(Spanish wine for Irish female slaves perhaps?)The seller sometimes goes to the buyer. There is some terrible evil and greed full stop.

I recall a few years ago how DNA samples were taken from every person on Iceland.By the WHO?I can't remember, nor can I remember why this was done. The thing about Atlantis is that the survivors of that fabled Island were threading water so long that when they managed to scramble ashore in Ireland they had developed webbing between their fingers and toes..like a duck. They went on to spread from Ireland all over the world and this is why today people worldwide have webbed fingers and toes.Newgrange in Co.Meath which is older than the pyramids needs to be re-investigated with Atlantis in mind.I feel it was some kind of underground laboratory where Atlanteans tryed and failed to remove the webbing from their fingers and toes. There's a Dolphin in Dingle Co.Kerry who's name is Fungee. It has lived alone offshore for more than 27 years entertaining tourists. It should be waterboarded as I feel it has invaluable information about Atlantis.

sirpeter - Has there ever been any DNA tests to prove the claims of the Super Nordic (viking), Germanic race? Hitler was not the first to put forth the master race and he had to borrow many of his tall blue eyed blondes from the Slavic race. He could also have borrowed from Ireland and included red heads. Hitler was not a blonde and look at Himmler. He looked like a little chimp. Does he look like a member of the master race? Are there possibly royals who are benefitting from this fairy tale. Just this week I heard William and Kate described as typical of the Nordic race. Does the queen and the rest of the family fit into this pattern? Are there not people all across Europe, especially from Ireland, who would quality in this category? I don't know if you saw that a test on a "viking" ship failed miserably in Dublin harbor. I don't know if you read retired US Naval Admiral Samuel Eliot Morrison's book on Columbus's northern voyages. Morrison tells that Columbus sailed for Portugal on their trade route bringing Mediterranean goods to Iceland. Morrison also wrote about the Irish legend of Hy-Brasil and says Columbus learned about the land across the sea from the Irish in Galway. If the vikings were such great sailors, why did the Portugese and Spanish have to sail so far north to bring them goods. I believe every Irish person and child who died or was diminished by their denial of history should be given back the history they were denied. Recently in trying to explain the embarrassment of Iceland's DNA, and in keeping with the mighty conqueror stance, It was put forth that Icelander's traveled south and kidnapped Irish women. The Icelanders said it was not true. Also have you seen the latest runners from hollywood on the nordic god "Thor." There is some terrible evil and greed behind the master race and someone is benefitting.

@bunkerhill.Can't say I'm familiar with the book you are talking about. For the Danes or Vikings whichever you want to call them. Ireland was literally on their doorstep and knew the west coast of Ireland like the back of their hand. There is hundreds of landing spots on the west coast. When you consider the Vikings traveled from Scandinavia and had settlements in Sicily Italy to the west coast of Greenland and beyond to Vinland (Newfoundland).Traveled also down through Russia as far as the Caspian Sea.You're wife would be correct in saying they seems to know where they were going. As a matter of fact it's a bit of an understatement. The Irish monks (St Brendan) traveled to America also probably given the route by the Vikings. The Danes were not just raiders but traders too.More then likely they traded first with the monks before word got back there was rich pickings. The only person who didn't know he was in America was Columbus because he died thinking he was in the East Indies Asia.

Archaeology has always held my interest, especially about things of my past history. I love anything to do with the Irish, I have history there that I don't even know yet. I just know that I am part Irish and am very curious about it. I would love look up my Genealogy and maybe even find relatives there some day.

Re Vikings in Ireland, my wife is looking for a book she read in the late 1940's. Yes we are old. The book told of a few troublesome clans being put out of the Clare area and told to go to Iceland or Ultima Thule whatever they called it, around the 6th century. One of the clan leaders vowed they would be back for vengeance In the book the writer says they returned approx 100 years later along with Scandinavian family members and friends, identified themselves and said they came peacefully apparently to escape famine. My wife says it always puzzled her why this well documented group, described as Danes, (the great author William V. Shannon wrote about the arrival of the "Danes" in his original book about "The Irish in America" and Churchill mentioned it in his Birth of Britain but neither mentioned the original Irish story. My wife has always wondered why a group or nomadic seafarers would sail down the west cost of Ireland and go past Galway Bay which would seem like an obvious landing spot. She feels they knew where they were going. Does anyone know about this book? The author was Irish. It always strikes me that when something Celtic is found, vikings or AS's always pop up. Do you know that the DNA of Iceland has proven they were half Irish? The Icelanders had said that for years and the powers that be in Scandinavia had said they were liars. In fact it strikes me that the story of Irish "Eric the Red" being thrown out of Norway is very similar to the clans being put out of Clare. The Irish have to get their ancient history back. By the way, I do believe I read somewhere that they were able to find ancestors from someone buried in an ancient tomb.
