Bythebay, you're such a tool, funny actually. You seem to be the one who can't read or is it a comprehension prblem.
The Wild Geese Hurling Team of the United States Marine Corps are one and the same. Americans apparently can't read either. "Wild Geese" were Irish soldiers who left to serve as mercenaries in continental European armies in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. Another apparent unknown fact of Irish history by Americans.
Bythebay... what do you call yourself sitting behind a keyboard? Collecting the dole, I'm sure!
Bythebay, are you sure they call themselves the "Wild Geese". I read the first paragraph as "The Wild Geese, a hurling club and a contingent of the US Marines". I look at that title as two separate teams. If indeed the Wild Geese is the Marine's name of their team, it should have been described differently such, perhaps, as The Wild Geese, a contingent of US Marines who play hurling, and stationed in Suffolk, England will participate in an international hurling match in Thurles.
So byethebutt you call yourself human???
So these Americans have called themselves "Wild Geese" after the Irish soldiers who left to serve as mercenaries in continental European armies in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries???
