@Seanmor The IRA lost the civil war and surrendered to the IRB the rest is History. In a united Ireland however they could become a crack commando brigade like Mosad did after it was Lehi etc. Ok not sure how thats going to work out. Would the yanks remove them off the Terrorist list if they became nationalized or would they end up like Hamas. I think the latter naturally don't you? People should remember that the IRA are terrorists and not part of any recognized government in the Republic of Ireland. I wonder if thats why the word rejectionist sprouted from one of the rebel counties in the north. Lol Limerick. lmao

IRA... if you feel that what the British did was unethical, you should not do the same thing. Instead, get those who were responsible for this unethical behavior to go to trial and prison.
Well done to An Garda Síochána (the police of the Southern Irish state) for protecting the life of this Limerickman in the army of Great Britain. Come to think of it, Quite a few I.R.A. men, most notably Tom Barry, gained valuable military experience in the British Army which they put to good use in a war of independence that liberated about 5/6 of Ireland from 7½ centuries of English rule.
Peace is grand you ligs, leave things alone.
