I think it's wonderful that he's been a cop so long...however, November of 1970 would only be 42 years....am I missing something?
When we die we retire. I wonder how long this career cop of NYPD has been in the Harlem precinct. That would be a book I would like to read. Also, I thought all detectives had to be physically fit. From the looks of it this detective has haad either too much stress or too much beer. Slainte!!! Have a great retirement.
This man is a hero. Forty-four years of service. He deserves to take care of himself, and enjoy the time off. There'll be plenty of offers and opportunities for this man!
Congratulations and Good Luck. No need to sit in the rocking chair. You have so much to offer the younger generation as a mentor. Looking forward to your book. Love that Bronx.
John Roe, Thank you for your many years of service. Congratulations on achieving 44 years. Since you're ready, willing and able to continue to serve, I hope you choose a place to serve where you will be valued and valuable. God bless.
Misleading header. Awake, editor!
He could always do what so many do, retire, and become a PI and use his skills for others.
St Paul could have said, "There's a time to work and a time to retire" Enjoy the rest of your life.
