Leo Terell has a shoe-waving meltdown in discussion of gay marriage with Sean Hannity - VIDEO
On air freak-out makes for a three way shouting match on Fox News
Fox News pundit Sean Hannity saw his show descend into chaos on Monday night after a loaded question delivered to frequent Hannity guest Leo Terell made the latter man explode with fury.
According to the Daily Mail, the pane,l which also included Niger Innis, the national spokesperson for the Congress of Racial Equality (and an adviser to the Alliance for Marriage Foundation, an organization which advocates against same-sex marriage), were assembled to debate Doctor Ben Carson's controversial comments made on Hannity's show last week about gay marriage, where the doctor had compared gay people to people in NAMBLA or those who practice bestiality.
Before the discussion could even begin Hannity dramatically changed the topic to insist that opposition to Doctor Carson's comments only existed because Carson is a black conservative.
This claim visibly astonished and infuriated Terrell, who gasped with incredulity and then launched into a furious tirade.
Hannity suggested that it was not in fact Doctor Carson's decision to compare gay people to pedophiles and zoophiles, but rather his controversial attacks on Obamacare during the National Prayer Breakfast that is the real reason the left has their knives out for him.
'If you’re an African-American and you’re a conservative, you’re vilified,' Hannity shouted. 'That is the ongoing epidemic that goes on. There’s no freedom of speech for African-American conservatives in America.'
Terrell, goaded by these claims, which he later claimed did not relate to the issue under discussion, pointed his finger and shouted at Hannity and Innis almost from the outset of the panel, going so far as to question why Doctor Carson was being given a political platform when he's a doctor, not a politican.
'You created a monster!' Terrell fumed, blaming Hannity for Carson's fame. 'You have elevated this guy to 15 minutes of fame.'
Innis attempted to interject at this point, calling Carson a 'hero' and a credit to the human race. This occasioned Turning to turn his rage on Innis, calling him an 'apologist' for Fox News and Hannity.
Terrell repeatedly claimed that Carson had 'put his foot in his mouth' with his comments on gay marriage, at which point he removed his own white shoe and began waving it around to underline his point. After further bickering, Terrell then simply stopped interacting with Innis and removed his earpiece, sitting with his arms crossed and refusing to interact.
Hannity's invitation to Doctor Carson last week to discuss the same-sex marriage hearing in the week that the Supreme Court set off a firestorm of criticism when Carson made shocking comparisons on camera.
'Marriage is between a man and a woman,' Carson said. 'It's a well-established, fundamental pillar of society and no group, be they gays, be they NAMBLA, be they people who believe in bestiality - it doesn't matter what they are, they don't get to change the definition.'
The comments caused outrage across the nation, for which he later offered a qualified apology. After his comments, students of Johns Hopkins University have demanded he be pulled as this year's commencement speaker.
Carson told the Baltimore Sun that people 'have completely taken the wrong meaning out of what I was saying,' insisting it was other people who had made the comparison, not himself.
He added: 'Now perhaps the examples were not the best choice of words, and I certainly apologize if I offended anyone. But the point that I was making was that no group of individuals, whoever they are, whatever their belief systems, gets to change traditional definitions.'

It is kind of strange in America how you hear more Christmas songs the day after Thanksgiving (aka Black Friday) than you do the day after Christmas.
