I wonder how many of her illnesses were brought on by severe beating at the hands of her "loving spouse." Spousal abuse is wrong and evil!

This makes me sick. So many people failed this woman. I cannot even imagine what she went through. This man needs to be tortured for years and killed like she was. 7 years is a joke.

I'm intrigued at reading 'Duffy had turned away a home help nurse due to her ethnicity' particularly when today's headlining articles accuse an athlete of racism because of a stupid joke he made about the Irish.

The authorities should be held accountable as well, they knew that something wasn't right here, that poor woman she is at peace now. I notice this story has very few comments up Sirpeter, If It had happened in Ireland comments galore would be ripping the Irish apart.

This is very sad.Another failure by those whose job it is to heed the warning signs. The man should be put in prison. But justice will not be done for this poor women until others are made accountable.

The wanton depravity in this case seems to warrant far more than seven years in prison.
