There may be the excuse for ordinary pubs to resort to this type of entertainment as a last resort in order to remain in business. But a GAA social club has no excuse for lowering its morals in view of its members age groups and the wealth of the association itself.
I have to agree that this kind of thing is inappropriate. I was allowed to drink, at 18, before all U.S. States raised the drinking age to 21. Yet, I drank responsibly: a couple of 50 cent Knickerbocker beers, and an occasional 90 cent gin & orange juice! Many of my age group did this at P.J.'s , a local single club on Long Island. The midget part is demeaning. Concerning strippers, would the girls REALLY want to perform for 18 year old boys?? THEY HAVE LIMITED RESOURCES, so how can the strippers take advantage of them? All boys coming of age should learn that these girls don't appreciate them, or any male customers, at these clubs. They are only after their money. Once a boy knows this, he will hopefully make a wise judgment, and avoid these places!!
