Business mogul Donald Trump has slammed the Republicans’ super PAC ad against President Barack Obama, ahead of the presidential elections next year.
Trump told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” it was one of the worst commercials” he’s ever seen.
He said, “I thought it was one of the worst commercials, in terms of what they were trying to do, that I’ve ever seen…They are making Obama look great. They are making him look like that’s the man we want to be president. I looked at that clip very closely, and actually, I couldn’t believe it.”
Trump made an impromptu call to the MSNBC show about the American Crossroads advert. The ad suggests that Obama is too cool for the presidency.
Also on the show was advertising executive Donny Deutsch who praised the ad saying it was “very compelling."
Deutsch said, “It takes Obama’s perceived strength and turns it into a negative. It shows that his celebrity makes him out of touch and it sets Romney out to be the fix-it, competent vanilla … vanilla is the new black, and it is compelling…What celebrity means is, he’s not connecting to you.”
Trump said, “I heard him [Deutsch] talking favorably about the ad that was put out essentially by the Republicans, and I thought it was a terrible ad. It made Obama bigger than life. It made him to be the super celebrity, which I don’t happen to think he is.”
Deutsch retorted saying, “You’re projecting yourself — because to you, [celebrity] is the dream, that’s the most amazing thing in the world. But to the average guy who is out of work or pissed off, they start to go, ‘Wait a second. What’s he doing? Yeah, he’s cool and everything, but I don’t want cool now. I want meat and potatoes.’”

here's an example of hte repub problems. I have medicare D drug plan and btw take 4 blood pressure pills, all generic. I pay almost nothing for them but about $15/mos fee. ther eal tragedy is that I can buy these drugs without the plan for HALF THE CHARGE THAT THE INSURANCE CO CHARGES THE GOVT. So as usual, I get to save some money but the big profits go to the big drug companies............thats just another scam on the taxpayers, and i often wonder if I should skip the insurance. On the other hand, it will be great for me if I end up on one of those very expensive drugs under patents.................bTW I wish I knew more details but many of these drugs are developed by NIH, and given to the drug companies to market at horrendous prices. thats Bush and his repub drug plan in action. A bone for us middle class people (those who are still MC) and billions in profits for the fat cats

You can only give tax breaks to those that pay taxes. Your ilk enslaves the middle class with taxes on everything they purchase, own, or produce.-sales taxes, property taxes, income taxes, cigerrette excise taxes, gasoline taxes, communication taxes, meals taxes, lodging taxes, then throw on top of that the next scheme to take independence away from the middle class with mandatory health care tax or fines. It's good the middle class should not be able to choose for themselves, they are thought to be too stupid and vulnerable by the controlling government wonks. Notice the pay scale of your benevolent overseers, they throw you a crumb while eating the cake.

BrianO...No, it's Karl Rove who successfully distracted your thinking with this stereotypical ad which is why he makes the big bucks. The truth remains… The GOP during the pre Obama years decimated the middle class, while giving tax breaks to their buddies in the 1%. All the facts and figures are there for those willing to check. Karl Rove tells you (his friends) are the 'Job Creators" pure Crapola, the real job creators are a strong middle class who is the purchasing engine of this and every other worldwide economy. The GOP does one thing well "negative ads"

Anyone who really wants’ to know about the Billionaire-backed Super PAC "American Crossroads" should read the history of Karl Rove and his mentor Lee Atwater. Atwater was the diabolical political mind who created the "people vote their fears" type of campaign strategy, always using subtle racial messages. Atwater, Rove and Ailes have created a stealth party who says they are for the "common" man yet gives all to the wealthy every time while waving patriotism and religious values in the face of the voter. When you read their history you will realize each are totally devoid of both.
